Today’s styled shoot is something of a mid-winter’s dream.

Flowers that are so pretty they look like watercolours, lingerie as delicate as feathers, and a feeling of festive romance, we simply cannot shake.

And it’s all been styled and captured by talented photographer, Theresa Furey, who created this beautiful hellebore-laced boudoir shoot.

Moody yet soft, and crisp yet cosy, whether it’s the pretty hair and make-up or the divine winter wedding florals you’re inspired by, this shoot will surely take you away from it all – for a few minutes at least!

But first up, we’ll pass you over to the team behind it to tell us more…

Story Behind the Shoot

This stunning boudoir shoot is all about passion and emotion, with an emphasis on graceful romance that captures the natural beauty of our model, Chloe in the crisp winter light and the rich, jewel-like tones of the florals.

Styled and photographed by Theresa Furey, the shoot took place at the beautiful Homme House in Herefordshire, a gem of a country residence with timeless elegance and grandeur.

With winter sunlight streaming in through the huge bay windows, Theresa captured the passion and emotion of a newlywed bride with her trademark fine art style and film photography.

The shoot featured delicate but deeply hued hellebores, a quintessential winter flower also known as the Christmas Rose. These pretty blooms appear in mid-winter in an array of colours from the softest ivory and blush pinks to rich, ruby reds and deep, almost charcoal coloured purples.

Florist Jenny Fleur used the intense tones of the hellebores with lush green foliage in a natural hand-tied bouquet and a flowing arrangement of flowers in a vintage jewellery box.

Chloe was dressed in delicate but alluring lingerie and accessories handmade by Daisy Sheldon Embroidery. Daisy uses specialist embroidery machines, including the Cornely, a beautiful 1920s machine which creates a decorative chain stitch and the Irish, a freehand embroidery machine which ‘draws’ with stitch, as well as embellishing with hand stitching and beading.

Seductively subtle make-up and a loose fishtail plait adorned with the delicate hellebores by Jennifer Gilling of Jennifer’s Dressing Table resulted in a soft and natural romantic look on this alluring inspiration shoot.

Isn’t it beautiful? I just love the deep tones in some of the hellebore, mixed with the softer hues and the pretty lingerie – so romantic!
