You might remember a while back, we shared our picks for the coolest rooftop wedding venues on the planet. And ever since, we've been crossing our fingers and hoping that we'd get to feature a real wedding from one of those amazing locations.
And today is that day!
Luke & Madeleine got married in Melbourne, Australia, with a classic meets contemporary ceremony and reception at the iconic Luminare Skydeck, overlooking the city.
And we're so glad they chose the talented Blumenthal Photography to capture their day.
With the aim of having timeless wedding photographs that they'd love forever, Madeleine & Luke created their day around classic style (wait until you see how Madeleine's bespoke ballgown transformed for the dancefloor!) and elegant, floral-laced decor.
Set against such a cool, modern backdrop, they struck the perfect balance of having an ageless affair, while still injecting plenty of style and personality into it too.

Wedding Day Snapshot
The Dress
Sophie and Jaz from the amazing Jane Hill of course!
Before my wedding I had always driven past the Jane Hill window and loved the dresses so as soon as I was engaged I went in for an appointment and everything just clicked immediately!
They have the perfect vision for my crazy ideas and the whole process of creating my dream dress was so much fun.
The dress was exactly what I wanted and the fact I could take off the bottom layers to become a party dress was perfect.. I felt like a true princess!
The Hair & Make-up
All of the bridal party's make-up was done by Justine O and Hair by Shannon.
We loved working with these girls on the day and we ended up with the perfect hair and make-up to match our day.
The Flowers
Kate Hill was our florist.
From the 2 x 2m floral wall at the ceremony to the complete floral arrangement at the reception, all of our bouquets, button holes and flower girl floral crowns – Kate couldn’t have gotten it more perfectly!
She went beyond what I ever imagined and I was blown away when I saw everything on the day.
The Photography

We wanted very natural photos that captured moments rather than being staged and Blumenthal did this perfectly!
Blumenthal were amazing throughout the whole process, they captured our day perfectly and fit into the day seamlessly.
The Venue & Catering
Luminare, what a venue! I couldn’t think of a more spectacular place to hold a wedding.
We had the best weather for our roof top ceremony and clear sweeping views of the city all night.
Everyone at the Big Group were amazing and helped us pull off our perfect wedding day, just as I had imagined it!
The Big Group, also looked after the catering, the canapés, food, wine selections and cocktails were all delicious.
The Entertainment
Top Dog Entertainment supplied the musician and DJ.
We had a solo acoustic singer for an hour after the ceremony whilst guests had canapés and cocktails (during the bridal party photographs) followed by DJ Eddy at the reception who I still to this day have people asking about!
Top Dog Entertainment were so helpful in finding the perfect people for our wedding, and the music was perfect and had everybody dancing all night
So gorgeous, don't you think? That first dance looks pretty epic, and what an awesome view to have from your wedding venue. Those lilac bridesmaid's dresses are so unusual too!
