Luxurious Wedding Inspiration with a Personal Touch

Luxurious Wedding Inspiration by Cecelina Photography and The New Wonderful 16

If you’re an avid reader of Bridal Musings, you’ll know my personal tastes tend to err more on the side of all things cool and casual. And this shoot certainly isn’t either of those. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t right up my street.

When it comes to classic, luxurious wedding style, if it’s got as much heart behind it as this gorgeous set-up, well, it’s impossible not to be smitten.

Because not only is this one refined, opulent, and beautiful, but it’s laden down with creative ideas and meaningful touches.

Photographed by the wonderful Cecelina Photography, with a concept by Rola of The New Wonderful and Miriam Faith Floral Design, scroll down to read all about the elegant style, extravagant tablescaping, and sweet symbolism behind this stunning wedding inspiration…

From the Team Behind the Shoot

“My love for you is eternal like a circle. It has no beginning and no end.” – Anon

A Love Unbroken is a collection of styled images of a luxury wedding ceremony and reception scene created by The New Wonderful and Miriam Faith Floral Design at Ognisko Polskie. It was captured by Cecelina Photography.

We wanted to show couples how to create a beautiful, luxury wedding with a powerful hidden meaning woven all the way through.

Rola writes, “We find that most of the couples we work with now don’t have an explicit theme in mind, instead what they want is a personal wedding that reflects their personalities, relationship journey and their love for each other.”

We imagined our happy couple to be Eva and Tom, a sentimental sort of pair who have been together for a long time and overcome many challenges.

They first met at university and Tom has been in love with Eva since he first set eyes on her.

Eva was a little slower on the uptake, but ever since their first date, they have always seen themselves as a unit. A tiny little gang of two. Eva wanted her wedding day to reflect the strength of her love and the bond between them.

The glorious floral backdrop designed by Miriam Faith features beautiful, big, bold wreaths filled with luxurious flowers.

The circle has long been an integral part of matrimony ceremonies around the world in various forms, most tangibly in the wedding bands exchanged at millions of ceremonies every year.

The wedding ring can symbolise completeness and eternal, unbroken love. That became our theme – A Love Unbroken.

The wedding design carries this idea of rings in various ways from the circular menus by Pale Press London and the circular backs of the Louis chairs from Great Hire.

The soft colour palette of lilac, creams and mint green with a hint of gold was inspired by Spring and chosen because it has impact without being too obviously traditional.

The ensemble has depth without being overwhelming, and leaves a truly memorable impression. By staying away from the traditional blushes and pinks colour, we hope to inspire brides to be bold in their colour choices.

We wanted to create a really special, intimate ceremony space, almost dream-like where our besotted couple could exchange their vows.

The golden pedestals enhance the ethereal feeling of the space, reflecting the light of the floating candles lining the aisle.

Adding to the personal feel of the wedding, all the stationery was hand calligraphed by the very talented Ash of Pale Press London and the silk chiffon table linen and silk napkin ribbons were handmade by Rola of The New Wonderful.

The goal with the tableware was to create something fresh and delicate to balance out the lush floral centrepieces.

We kept it simple with the elegant gold and white crockery and glassware from Whitehouse Crockery and the oh-so-pretty lilac silk ribbon.

For the flowers, we wanted to create something really dramatic that would impress guests from the overflowing urns of garden roses, ranunculus and clematis. The sweet peas provided a glorious scent which flooded the reception space and will hopefully be a beautiful reminder of the day.

The setting for our wedding was the majestic Ognisko Polskie (Polish Hearth) in South Kensington.

The magnificent wide marble staircase and high ceilings in the ballroom and throughout the building are brightly lit and inviting.

The stunning wedding dress is ‘Leona’ from the Zuhair Murad 2017 Bridal collection via The Wedding Club. We love how this dress manages to feel dramatic, delicate and sophisticated all at once.

And it complements our bride Eva’s shape beautifully. (Yes, our model is really called Eva!)

For the reception or evening look, we went for a sultry dress from Berta Bridal, again via the fab ladies at The Wedding Club.

Lots of brides are now choosing to wear a second dress, usually something more relaxed than their main wedding dress so they can show another side to themselves and get their dance on! And this Berta dress is perfect for that.

This shoot was such a joy to collaborate on and we hope we’ve created something that will inspire couples to create a wedding completely true to themselves, incorporating what is most special about their relationship for a truly unforgettable wedding day
