Modern Minimalist Styled Shoot Featuring Gowns For The Natural Bride

Fill a light, bright, airy warehouse with anemone blooms and blushed brides and you have today’s modern, minimalist inspiration with natural gowns a plenty.

Cinzia Bruschini and her team pulled seven different gowns from London’s bridal boutique Heart Aflutter (where our own past editor Claire bought her wedding dress!) that don just as light and airy as the space.

Each gown features a unique, fetching design element. While different in look, all share tribute to the modern, unconventional bride. The bold, white embellishments over nude panels in the Made with Love gown are so trendy and eye catching for the coming season.

And you know we have a thing for long lace sleeves right? Well we just adore the cut out detailing on the Daughters of Simone sleeves, it adds that extra je ne sais quois while covering up for winter’s cooler wedding temps.

This bridal inspiration session showcases a modern, unconventional bride. From the bohemian to the ethereal, with an emphasis on effortless, minimalistic looks. Sensual yet natural, this bride chooses dresses in unusual fabrics and colours, with feminine yet comfortable silhouettes that help expressing her personality on her wedding day. She is charming, captivating, and comfortable in her own skin. The makeup is neutral and luminous, meant to emphasize her natural beauty. The hair is sleek and unfussy – as far as possible from the traditional bridal updo.

The modern bride has a preference for unstructured and organic floral arrangements in a palette of ivory, nude, blush, and touches of mauve – with lots of greenery for an added modern touch. She doesn’t overdo it with accessories – her “less is more” approach translates into a few key modern jewellery pieces in gold or silver. This modern bride is at ease in an industrial and urban warehouse setting, which she softens with her delicate and understated femininity.
