This stylish shoot took place at the new London venue, Good Hotel. Once a floating prison, this shoot combines the cold, minimalistic and very edgy space, with greenery, yellow (a popular colour for 2018), soft linen and killer heels.

When Keye (Keye London) introduced us to the Good Hotel, we just knew we had to do a shoot there! The pure industrial design, unique waterfront location, all with a view every Londoner would love to wake up with, fits in exactly with Perfectly Planned 4 you brand’s aesthetics.

At Perfectly Planned 4 You, we innovate and explore concepts outside of convention, we take fresh colours, raw London spaces and create beautiful and bold weddings for couples who think outside the box.

We have worked with Mairéad (Remain in Light Photography) many times, and I asked her to come on board as we share the same vision, and I knew she would love the space.

The Suits

Complementing the scene, the groom’s attire is adhering to the modern, dapper aesthetic. For the reception, Keye London curated a sleek navy suit with peaked lapel and double-breasted design that brings refinement to the mix. To spice up the look, his suit is paired with a very baroque tie and golden tassels, adding just the right amount of vibrancy to keep things intriguing.

As for the second look, our groom loosens up but still stays stylish for the after party in an umber tux jacket featuring a contrasting velvet shawl collar. The palate is kept harmonious with a monochromatic set of black waistcoat and trousers. This subtle incorporation of different hues and textures adds richness to the look without losing its riveting laid-back charm.

Bridal Pieces by Lorie X

The silk organza skirt with photographed coconut candles at the hem has an ethereal feel as the light from the candle’s patterns fade out. With a pleated waist detail and fuller hem, The Nima Skirt is soft and simple, yet beautiful.

The Tashi Top is made in duchess silk satin and fastens with covered buttons and rouleau loops at the centre-front. Scalloped corded Belgian lace frames the v-neckline moving over the shoulders into a full lace back revealing a little skin.

We swapped the top for another of Lorie X’s fabulous designs, the Emma Waistcoat is made from individual hand sewn strips of silk organza which follow the contours of the cut. It gives a structured yet romantic edge.

I wanted to give a modern edge to the look – with the first one all I wanted to do is enhance her colours and play in monochrome with her blond hair, and some of the shades she had in her dress. Therefore, I used earthy colours to bring the best out of her features.

“I wanted to create a very trendy and minimalistic look so I immediately thought of a variety of beautiful, fresh foliage arranged into a big, wild, unstructured bouquet, and matching buttonholes. I incorporated craspedia to add a pop of yellow, which also gave the bouquet a bit of a modern edge.

I aimed for the table arrangement to be simple but interesting and unusual so I chose beautiful, large palm leaves which I laid across the table, and interspersed them with cut and whole lemons to give it a bit of a wow factor.”
