In light of a certain, upcoming, royal wedding we’ve been finding ourselves imagining our own royal wedding wishes – dreamy chateaus, grand ballrooms and lavish catering. Film photographer Lucy Davenport and her talented team put together a vibrant citrus and peach styled shoot that I would say is just about exactly what my own dream, royal wedding would look like.

Taking cue from their colorful and opulent venue, this wedding inspiration is so bright and juice, it’s catapulting us straight into summer. A traditional, gigantic floral centerpiece is made fresh with bright blooms of all different colors and we can practically smell the lilacs gracing the dessert table.

Speaking of which, hello grand dessert table! A powder pink, five-tiered cake with gold roses, a smaller classic tiered cake and rich cheese cake (like wheels of cheese lovelies, wheels of cheese!) are just the centerpieces of this luxe spread of opulent treats. If I were a soon-to-be-Princess, I would most definitely be most concerned with all the best pastries money can buy.

For this venue branding editorial, a huge amount of inspiration was drawn from the interiors. I wanted to work with the luxurious aesthetic that the house oozes.

Holdenby House has huge amounts of character both indoors and outside in the extensive grounds. Providing the team with the keywords: luxurious, couture, opulent, elegant, lavish and ethereal, ensured – we were all working to the same look.

I captured the elegant details within the house to show the historical side, and we ensured that any pieces brought in fitted within the overall aesthetic. With such a historian venue, the shoot had to be authentic and all elements were considered.

My favourite element of the shoot was the extravagant dessert table, a collaboration between Indulgence and Princess Patisserie. Currently on trend, yet I can’t help but imagine what the banqueting dinners would have been like all those years ago.
