How to style a vintage Southwestern wedding with glitz & glamour

Are you a multifaceted bride? Someone who rocks out to The Kinks and The Velvet Underground but also wants their dramatic, voluminous Carrie Bradshaw moment (I may or may not be talking about myself)? Well, today we have a styled shoot that is equal parts boho, Southwestern style with a glitz and glamorous bride.

It’s great to show that you don’t always have to stick with one “theme” – yes, you can dig the hip, bohemian vibes of Joshua Tree but also be a fluttering, whimsical, ballgown wearing Princess bride. Diana Sabb Events & Designs took into account this real couple’s favorite colors, styles, and words on love and created an eclectic and totally unique wedding space just for them (hello, dream planner!)

As far as decor goes, the details were fittingly midcentury modern, with native Southwestern touches. We’re smitten over the mismatched plateware (pretty sure my grandma has that daisy plate in her West Coast camper!) and jewel-toned vintage glass.

Melanie is from Paris and Anthony is from NY. They met over six years ago at Miami Airport, flying from Paris. They were actually on the same flight eyeing each other but Anthony came to speak to her in the customs line. We wanted to showcase this story and the years that they have been together.

We wanted to come up with something that was unique to the styles and likes of the couple and something they could also keep forever. We asked the couple questions about their relationship with each other.

Favorite colors and styles and built the shoot around them. Since the colors of the venue were already reach in texture we wanted to add a boho vibe to emphasize the tones in the space and also the different elements all around.
