Our Love Story

He proposed at our annual friends Christmas party & gift exchange. While taking group photos, he got everyone’s attention and said that he had a “gift” for me. He handed me a perfectly wrapped gift box and after unwrapping it nervously I found there was another ring box in it. He then took the box from me, proceeded to get down on one knee, showed me the diamond, and asked for my hand in marriage! I was in tears!

The Wedding Style

Our color palette was mainly inspired by both of our favorite colors (purple & navy) & basketball team – we added the pop of gold to represent the purple & gold of the LA LAKERS!

We had a beautiful ceremony in the middle of the canyon, surrounded by nature, giant trees and wildlife. It was officiated by none other than one of our best friends who, from the beginning, witnessed our relationship grow. Our theme was whimsical & romantic with a touch of modern boho.

The Flowers & Planning

Three Petals Design “Cat Chu” was our amazing floral team. We picked Cat Chu to design our wedding because she listened to our vision, sat down with us, and literally sketched out our whole wedding layout and curated our famous gazebo that was our main focal point. Three Petals really brought our wedding to life.

It was literally fate meeting Ilana from The Perfect Event. From our first meeting, we knew she was “the one”. Her high energy, enthusiasm, and excitement for us and our wedding was food for the soul. She kept us organized and on track and never lost sight of us throughout the whole planning process. Our wedding day was seamless thanks to Ilana & her team!

Favorite Moments

Favorite moments hands down had to be our grand entrance. We are big festival and concert goers so high energy was definitely needed. “Kungs – This Girl” was our entrance song and as we entered, everyone (literally) got up and danced with us. It was a beautiful and magical moment when you realize you’re surrounded by all your loved ones – and all in one space. It was amazing.

The Photography

We picked Full Spectrum to shoot our wedding because we love the dynamic that David and Christina share. David captures memories beautifully & Christina creates amazing albums to compliment them. Throughout each of our engagement photoshoots and wedding day photos, they were both such a joy and pleasure to work with.

The Music

When we asked DJ Wrex & Mitchell for “high energy” that’s exactly what we got. Mitchell really gets the crowd pumped with his excitement & tenacity. Wrex can throw down any beat and has awesome mix’s. They both have amazing control over the crowd. We still get text messages about how memorable and “lit” our wedding was. We knew that Rex and Mitch were awesome but they definitely surpassed all our expectations on our wedding day!

Advice to Other Couples

Don’t let the little things get to you. Bickering during wedding planning is normal. Don’t forget that LOVE is why you decided to get married in the first place. On the big day, relax and let everything be. When you’re walking down the aisle, take a deep breath and look around – make a memory with everyone present – especially your spouse! It’s really the best memory you’ll make.
