Have you discovered Lover.ly yet?

Brides and wedding industry folk in the know are falling head over heels for this innovative new wedding inspiration website and planning tool.

Here’s why…

~ With Lover.ly, you can easily discover, search, and save all of your favorite wedding ideas in one place.

~ Your images are saved online, where you can access them anywhere ~ from your desktop, or when you’re on the go.

~ Keep your saved images and collections of ideas private, share them with your bridal party, friends and family or get social and share them with the Lover.ly community. The choice is yours.

Here’s what the lover.ly homepage looks like:

But this is just a screen shot, the real thing scrolls down forever and you can very easily get lost in all the pretty!

Love It, Bundle It and Share It!

Lover.ly users can save images by creating ‘Bundles’ to organise their wedding ideas into categories. Eg. bouquets, wedding dresses, DIY ideas.

Bundles are private by default (which is great!) so dream away—no one’s watching.

The cute lock symbol at the top of each bundle indicates whether a bundle is private ~ you can choose to unlock specific bundles and share them with other Loverly users.

The great thing about Loverly is that you can be a social or private as you like with your wedding ideas and inspiration. Share your bundles or specific images via email, Facebook, Twitter or Stumble Upon and comment on fellow Loverly users bundles.

Here’s what a Lovely user’s page looks like ~ these are my collections of unlocked (public) bundles:

Stylishly Curated Wedding Content

Lover.ly is the collective home of some the top wedding blogs in the industry including Wedding ChicksInspired By ThisBride’s CafeSnippet & InkKiss The Groom and I’m very proud to say that Bridal Musings is also a publishing partner.

What this means is that all the images on Lover.ly are hand picked and carefully curated by bloggers and a select few wedding professionals. It also means that each image is credited properly so if you want to find out more, you can by clicking through to the original blog post.

No more falling in love with an image of a dress or a pair of shoes and not being able to find out where it’s from!

Here’s an example of an image from one of my posts:

Look down the right hand side of the page and you’ll see all the vendors involved in creating Sophie and Robert’s beautiful wedding as well as tags associated with the image, type of post (Real Wedding), location, colours, how many people have ‘loved’ and bundled the image, as well as a way to see more images from the post.

The Ultimate Visual Search Engine For Weddings

Lover.ly is often referred to as the ‘Pinterest for weddings’ due to it’s visual layout BUT it’s so much more than that!

Think of Lover.ly as a powerful visual search engine for weddings ~ like Google image search but a thousand times better.

The results are better because they’re always wedding related, always relevant to your search term and, due to the careful curation of content, always high quality images. The results are also incredibly up to date due to all the beautiful new images uploaded daily.

Browse or Search

Lover.ly has an archive of over 100,000 images organized by bloggers and it’s community of users ~ their database is updating and evolving daily.

Looking to be inspired? Check out what unlocked bundles and images are popular amongst other Lovelies or simply keep on scrolling.

Looking for something specific? Search by category or use the search bar where you can search by colour or search terms.

Here’s The Search by Category page:

Lover.ly has some AWESOME features:

Easy Sign Up ~ A quick and easy sign up so you can get started on that wedding planning ASAP.

Scroll ~ the site scrolls vertically – search your favorite inspiration and scroll up and down to save + share your favourite images.

Private Bundles ~ The great thing about Lover.ly is that they understand that weddings are very personal affairs ~ brides, grooms, wedding bloggers, industry professionals and people planing their wedding before the ring’s on their finger might not want to share all their ideas with the world. However, Lover.ly users also have the option to unlock their bundles and share those fab ideas with others on Lover.ly and via social media. It’s the best of both worlds!

Easily add an image you love to multiple bundles ~ Often I’ll find an image that fits into a number of different bundles so this is a dream come true for me, simply tick the bundles you want to add it to. (Rather than having to manually add it to each bundle!)

Shop ~ If you see a gorgeous item that is perfect for your wedding with the silver ‘shop’ ribbon in the corner, you can go directly to the website and buy it right then and there (or save it to one of your bundles till you can get your pennies together). Isn’t that cool? With carefully selected items from top brands including Nordstrom, Minted and Two Birds Bridesmaids this feature makes it super easy to shop for your wedding.

Search by Colour ~ Lover.ly identified 16 popular wedding colors and added them directly under the search bar for easy, one-click access to the most gorgeous wedding images in your fave shade.

Comment ~ it’s good to talk so why not share your thoughts and ideas with other Lovelies!

Oh and one more thing, Elizabeth Messina is the official photographer for Lover.ly so it’s filled with her gorgeous images too ~ yipee!
