Sunflowers. I can't seem to get enough of those big, bright, happy blooms!

(Did you see this sweet English wedding film filled with sunflowers and lemonade?)

Today's wedding at The Temecula Creek Inn, California, is rustic chic through and through – think burlap, lace, bunting, wood stumps, yarn table numbers, hanging mason jars filled with tea lights and yep, you guessed it, lots and lots of sunflowers. Even on the bride and bridesmaid's hangers!

Lauren made such a beautiful bride sparkling from head to toe from her chandelier earrings to her bejewelled wedges. She also carried a blinging bouquet of roses, daisies and vintage brooches. While Troy and his groomsmen kept it country casual in waistcoats, suspenders and Converse.

Teale Photography were on hand to capture all the darling DIY details and sweet moments.

 From The Bride…

Our style was vintage and our colors were baby soft pink, cloud white, pale green and sunflower and light yellow. I really wanted the sunflowers to be the highlight of the decor and I made and/or designed most of my decor. It was awesome and fun to put together.

My amazing wedding planner, Krystal from Couture Events, did so much too!

 The Ceremony

We didn't have a first look, just a prayer where my hubby and I were both hidden behind a large oak tree, but were holding hands.

I actually don't even remember or know the exact processional song I walked down the aisle to but I know that my bridesmaids and troy walked down to an AMAZING song that is my absolute favorite and I stole it from another good friend of mine's wedding. It was called “Where I Land” by JJ Heller.

 Décor & Details

Our centerpieces were flowers like the bouquets, with wooden tree bark holders, wood stumps to set candles on and then wood 4x4s with nails hammered into them to form numbers and then white yarn string around the outer edge of the 3D numbers to form the numbers.

 Unique & Personal Touches

We had all of our flowers dedicated to the bride's deceased grandparents and the grooms deceased brother. This info was stated in the programs, we also did feet washing for our ceremony to signify that our marriage will be based on putting each other first and always serving one other, also humility and grace. We also did a money dance (where guests pay to dance with the bride and groom) which was fun!

 The Refreshments

Alcohol of any type really was the drink and food we had a mashed potato bar, chicken, rice, veggies, etc. We also had Krispy Creme donuts in lieu of a wedding cake.

 Favourite Moments

Kissing for the first time as husband and wife and also walking down the aisle to Troy.

 Advice For Other Couples

GO SIMPLE!

There was actually about 10 exclamation marks after Lauren's ‘go simple' advice, which leads me to deduct, Sherlock Holmes style, that wedding planning may have gotten a little bit stressful for Lauren and Troy.

So bear that sage advice in mind – there's no need to stress yourself out with tonnes of details – keep things simple and meaningful to you as a couple.

Congratulations Troy and Lauren, I hope you're enjoying married life to the max!

Thanks to Teale Photography for sharing these beautiful photos with us today.

Come back later this afternoon for their gorgeous wedding film – it's not to missed. (There's superhero socks – with capes – involved!)
