It may well be a frosty/grey/rainy November morning but today on Bridal Musings we're headed back to the sweet, summer's day when Rowena and Nick said ‘I do'.

And why not eh? We could all benefit from a little more sunshine, love and laughter in our lives!

Theirs was a timeless, classic English garden wedding complete with bunting, lawn games and an old fashioned double decker bus for transport. Rowena was lovely in lace, Nick dapper in navy blue and the bridesmaids, well, just wait till you see their floaty, floral Ted Baker dresses.

Other things to watch out for include the almost-too-pretty-to-eat ruffled cake by Cakes and Crumbles, Nick's thoughtful gift and a rogue cat!

Lisa Dawn Photography captured Rowena and Nick's beautiful, timeless wedding to perfection.

From The Couple…

We had a fairly formal ceremony at the Great Hall in Winchester, followed by prosecco and canapés. Our guests were transported to the reception by old fashioned double decker bus. We had a relaxed, rustic, fete style garden/marquee reception and the speeches took place outside prior to sitting for the wedding breakfast.*

 The Flowers

Bouquet: Peonies,  Button holes: Carnations, Centrepieces: Baby's Breath

 The Wedding Music

Processional: Air on G played by The Bossard Quartet

First dance: ‘Summercat’ by Billie the Vision and the Dancers, played by The Lionels, who learned it especially.

Congratulations Nick and Rowena!

Anyone else need one of those floral dresses in their closet stat? And did you spot the cat?!

* Having the speeches before dinner is a genius idea – then everyone giving speeches can relax and enjoy the evening.
