Thomas and Kaiti's effortlessly stylish succulent filled wedding at Barndiva in California is beyond chic.

Here's just a few reasons why I think you'll adore it as much as I do:

– Thomas is the James Bond of grooms – so sharply dressed it hurts.

– Kaiti's red carpet worthy, grey, cap sleeved, Reem Acra wedding dress, elaborate, bohemian head piece and blush pink heels are a match made in heaven.

– Add to that kohl lined eyes, perfect pink lip gloss plus luscious, ombre curls and you've got yourself one seriously stunning bride!

– All the love, joy, style and beauty of their day was captured to perfection by Traci Griffin Photography.

The Style

There was no set theme or inspiration I had in mind when planning our wedding. I just knew I wanted it to feel very stylish and California casual. The color palette was neutrals. Fashion and style are important to us both. I feel without knowing what the other would wear, my husband and I matched perfectly.

The Attire

I did not want to look like a typical or traditional “Bride” I wanted to look more like an actress on the red carpet.  I even added a very untraditional slit to the dress to make it a little more interesting.

Our bridesmaids were given choices of greys and browns for their dresses. They were able to style shoes, accessories, hair and makeup however they felt the most beautiful.

The groomsmen went with a dark navy for their suits and were also told to add whatever finishing touches they wanted to complete the look.

The Ceremony

Short, sweet and to the point.

The Photography

I was looking through all the vendors that Barndiva recommended and thought it would be best to use someone who was familiar with the space. Traci of Traci Griffin Photography was by far my first choice her photos looked more inspired by art rather then traditional wedding photos.

The Refreshments

One of the main reasons I wanted to get married at Barndiva was for the incredible food. I knew if nothing else the food had to be delicious. Sadly I was too excited to eat very much even with the sit down meal. The menu was done as a Pre-fix and everyone was able to choose when they were seated.

The Flowers

For the flowers I wanted only “fluffy” looking flowers with little to no color. I believe we ended up with some type soft roses and peonies. I don’t know a lot about flowers, I only knew I didn’t want any with strong structure or color. We also had our initials covered in succulents that were decorating the ceremony space and were then moved to the back of our chairs for dinner. The favors/place cards were also small succulents in tiny terracotta pots.

Décor & Details

The second main reason I wanted to get married at Barndiva is because the space is already so artfully and beautifully decorated, it really requires little to no additions. The place cards and favors were the only items we brought into the space besides the minimal flowers.

We did create with a beautiful old frame that belonged to the groom’s grandmother an adorable and stylish way to present the seating cards. So great in fact people were afraid to take their cards in fear of messing up the display.

The Music

The processional song we chose was Crazy Love by Van Morrison.

Our recessional song was Better Together by Jack Johnson.

Our first dance was to Angles by The XX.

Favourite Moments

The day was perfect, calm and stress free – just how I wanted it. There were so many magic moments just what you would expect from your big day.

The moment I stepped out into view of everyone I heard a collective gasp, have a heart to heart with my grandfather, sneaking a moment to check in with my new husband, I will live all of these back and more in my memory every time I think of my wedding.

Advice For Other Couples

The only advice I have is to have fun with everything and don’t over think it because in the end you will love the day no matter what happens.

Absolutely stunning.

Congratulations Kaiti and Thomas, hope you're loving married life!

I know we're only a few days into the new year but I'm certain that Kaiti and Thomas' gorgeous nuptials will make it onto my Best of 2014 post at the end of the year!
