Two weddings!
Mitra and Vivek celebrated their marriage with the most beautiful big Indian wedding over two days. (Which we can't wait to share with you peeps in a few weeks!) But before that, there were the legalities to contend with.
And while most couples would be happy to turn up at their civil ceremony in everyday threads and leave the photographer for the main event, this gorgeous pair marked the occasion in a chic and fun fashion.
The stunning backdrop of San Francisco City Hall, their family by their sides, a dapper suit, a pretty dress, a (totally pinnable) fresh flower crown, and of course, their wonderful photographer, Silvana DiFranco.
Who said legalities were dull?
We'll let our happy couple, Mitra and Vivek, tell us a little bit more about their (first!) big day…
From The Couple
We met in New York City in the Summer of 2011. From the beginning, we both knew this was going to be something special. In 2013, Vivek proposed during a picnic in Central Park, a place where we spent most of our downtime in the city. Mitra said YES and here we are today!
Our San Francisco City Hall civil wedding is one of two weddings – this was the intimate ceremony that preceded their two day Indian affair later that week.
Our civil ceremony was simple with a grand backdrop, fun and romantic, with our parents and siblings present to witness our coming together as husband and wife.
We now live in Berkeley, CA where Mitra caught the wedding bug, and is now a wedding planner, happily styling and successfully orchestrating other brides' dreams.
Aren't they just adorable? What fun shots to get outside City Hall, it's such a beautiful building!
