This morning we shared Jenny & Michael's gorgeous wedding film by Yours Truly Media, and now we've got their fabulous pictures by Megan Hayes Photography too.
The couple got married at 440 Seaton in LA, and while it's such a cool space, with immense potential, warehouse settings are notoriously hard to decorate in an impactful and intimate way.
But not if you're this pair!
With the help of their coordinator, Tasteful Tatters, (and Jenny's killer calligraphy skills!) the couple made an expansive space feel warm and personal, with lounge areas, string lights, sweet decor and homely touches.
The result is a day that has all the coolness and fun you'd expect from an LA wedding, but with the charm and thoughtfulness we'd normally see in a Southern bash (we're loving Michael's groom's cake BTW!)
With gorgeous style (that ruffled kick on Jenny's Maggie Sottero dress is so romantic), a beautiful ceremony (we love an unplugged event) and incredible food (crostini bar? yes please!) – we think you'll have as much of a soft spot for this wedding as we do…
Wedding Day Snapshot
Our Love Story
We are highschool sweethearts.
Michael proposed on a beach in Washington where he realized he loved Jenny back in 2009 while they spent several hours a day on the phone during that summer.
The Venue
We knew this venue was the one for us, because of the industrial feel with exposed bricks, all the natural light and that it was a blank canvas.
The Photography
We chose Yours Truly Media and Megan Hayes Photography because of their personalities and quality of work!
I loved working with them, so I knew it would be a great fit for making the wedding a wonderful day!
The Decor & Details
For the flowers, we chose dahlias, eucalyptus, hydrangeas, peonies.
For the decor, we had DIY heart garland and handwritten signs along with lots of sourced sea glass and eucalyptus.
Favourite Moments
I loved all the greenery and the little details.
Showing my groom his cake was awesome and being with all the people that I love.
The Honeymoon
We went to Puerto Rico and stayed at the St. Regis Bahia Beach. It was amazing!
I would highly recommend visiting Puerto Rico. It was adventurous, romantic, and historical.
We told you it was special? Those rooftop portraits are just stunning aren't they? What an awesome location for a wedding.
I'm working out how to recreate that ceremony backdrop for my own big day too – I love how it doubled up for behind the cake table too – so clever!
Don't forget to watch Jenny & Michael's wedding film too, by Yours Truly Media.
Thanks so much to Megan Hayes Photography, and of course, newlyweds, Jenny & Michael for sharing their day with us.
