Good morning,

I'm such a happy bunny as I get to see my best friend today {whom I haven't seen since her wedding in Thailand two months ago}. My tan, if you could even call it that, is now a distant memory!

Ok, onto Part 2 of this DIY dream of a wedding.

Did you see Part 1? If not, you really must ~ it's an absolute stunner and how often do you see a couple reading their vows from an iPad?!

Here's my top five favourite things about Part 2:

1. The ‘Live Long and Prosper' shot: Alison and Ryan are Trekkies!

2. The bridesmaids dresses. One in rich purple, the other in palest duck egg blue make a beautiful combination.

3. And the bride wore…Sarah Seven ~ my latest obsession

4. I do love a bride and groom in wellies!

5.  CD ‘mix tape' favours: always a hit with guests…oooh can I squeeze in a few more? The groomsmen in plaid, the feathers and the pretty florals!

But the thing I love most is Jamie Delaine‘s stunning photography…she nailed it!

Take a look for yourselves:

Wow…this wedding leaves me speechless {wordless?} I love every. single. thing.

DIY Details from the bride: Amazing favours!

The Favours ~ each guest had a brown paper favour bag as their name “placecard” at their seat.  The bags were silkscreened by a friend of the bride with a heart that Ryan designed that says “Alison & Ryan”.  I made mini feather and dried flower “boutonnieres” for each paper bag, and each bag had a luggage tag with the guests name attached with a clip.  Each bag contained a cd made by me with a cd covers were laser etched by Ryan with our name and wedding date.

Ryan made small wooden houses for each of the guests and the mother of the bride made mini jams.

The bride's favourite moment: Possibly the geekiest and sweetest vows ever?

Our favourite part of the day was our custom-made ceremony and vows. Ryan promised to “constantly generate a force field of awesome” and in return I promised to “always set my phasers to fun!” Ryan asked if I would be his “lovely, creative, intelligent, beautiful, ingenious, considerate, goofy and funny wife?” I said I would, and I asked if he would be my “cute, smart, ambitious, inventive, talented, dashing, loving dreamboat of a husband?” And he said he would!

Wishing Alison and Ryan a long and prosperous life together. Huge thanks to Jamie Delaine for sharing these beautiful images here on Bridal Musings. Check out her website and blog to see more of her incredible work.
