We always love sharing gorgeous new wedding dress collections with you lovelies, but when a collection has much heart and soul as this one, it makes it even more special.
Because this isn’t your average bridal lookbook, this is the exclusive first look (let’s go ahead and call it the world premier!) of the brand new 2017 Celia Grace collection.
Celia Grace is an ethical wedding dress brand (we shared their story on the blog last year). So not only are each of these gowns beautiful, but they’re also produced sustainably and fairly by women in India and Cambodia.
So if you’re looking for a wedding dress with style, and a story, these might be the ones for you.
Introducing new styles and textures to the collection for 2017, modern embroidery, classic lace, luxe brocade and light-as-air handwoven heirloom eco silks, make this offering as diverse in its design as it is in its textiles.
Open backs, criss-cross straps, bridal separates and cool pockets give the gowns a modern feel, while ruffled skirts, billowing silhouettes, and pretty details amp up the romance.
As Marie Muehlke, founder of Celia Grace says, “These dresses are as unique – and kind – as the brides who wear them.”
As for the dressmakers behind these dreamy gowns, Celia Grace is now working with four independent, ethical and fair trade sewing groups in India and Cambodia – most of which are owned or operated by women.
Working with small, local groups means that each dress is exquisitely handcrafted, with access to unique and exclusive fabrics not used by anyone else.
It also means Celia Grace can ensure safe and empowering work conditions and fair pay for their dressmakers, so that they can take their kids to the doctor, and send their girls to school. This year Celia Grace will also donating a school uniform to a child in need in Cambodia, with each dress they sell.
Like we said, this collection is pretty special!

So pretty, right? I love that there’s a mix of classic, feminine dresses, and then more minimal, modern designs too. And those adjustable skirts are so cool!
It’s exciting that ethical fashion is proving it can be just as chic and stylish as any conventional collection.
