It’s a real joy to share today’s beautiful elopement in Positano.

Tiffany and Anthony are an Australian couple who eloped to Italy for a perfect celebration for two, in one of the most scenic parts of the world.

Rocking a Priscilla Presley-esque retro look (a favourite of mine!) with a pretty daisy bouquet, Tiffany looked gorgeous next to her beaming groom Anthony, in his sharp blue suit.

Their insanely romantic wedding day was captured by Ashley Ludaescher Photography (another fave of mine!) in her dreamy film style.

What makes this sweet occasion all the sweeter, is that the couple chose to elope on a trip that was planned as something to look forward to, during Tiffany’s cancer treatment.

We have a feeling the party they had when they got home, was a fun one!

From the Bride

After 10 years together, we got engaged while on vacation in New York in September 2013. 5 months later, sadly I was diagnosed with cancer.

We have always loved traveling so we decided that once I had finished treatment, we would take a long break and head to France and Italy for five weeks.

In December 2015 with my health still unstable and tickets and accommodation booked, we made the decision that it was now or never and decided to secretly elope while we were away! Only our parents knew!

With only 5 months to plan, there was one place on our itinerary that stood out as the place to do it… POSITANO! Since we had never been to the Amalfi coast (or Italy for that matter) it was exciting and nerve racking all at the same time!

Planning it all from Australia was not easy but looking back, our adventures of obtaining the legal paperwork etc are what makes the whole thing so fun and memorable!

I had always loved Priscilla Presley’s wedding look and opted for a 60s feel with my dress, veil, headpiece and flowers (which were perfect!). Anthony wanted a blue suit which looked great and popped against all the colours and back drop of Positano.

One thing we were certain on was having a film photographer capture the wedding. We loved Ashley’s style and previous work and we’re lucky to secure her for our special day!

We were married on June 9th 2016 at the main church in Positano – Santa Maria Assunta, in a Catholic ceremony shared with Anthony’s parents, Ashley our photographer, her husband Andreas and our priest.

After the ceremony, we spent time with Ashley and Andreas at various stunning locations taking pictures within the town of Positano. We then ended the day with the most magical candlelit dinner at Le Sirenuse restaurant ‘La Sponda’ overlooking that spectacular Mediterranean coastline!

We wanted the day to be relaxed, fun, romantic and intimate… it was… and Ashley captured it perfectly.

We always intended to throw a celebration party when we returned to Australia and that’s exactly what we are doing!

We love the fact that we get the best of both worlds – a dreamy, romantic, intimate Italian ceremony and an exciting, fun party to celebrate with family and friends back home!
