Danielle dreamed of getting married at Villa Cimbrone since she was a teenager, at her mother’s friend’s wedding in Ravello (oh how we’d love to see those photos!) The jet-setter met her match in Nik, and after getting engaged mountaintop in Santorini, the two started planning the dreamiest, Amalfi Coast wedding.
And as imagined, the whole Italian wedding in a dream! Danielle wore a luxurious lace Pronovias wedding gown and her bridesmaids sparkled in mix and match blush and gold Vera Wang dresses. Nik wore a white jacket (which we’re high fiving for!) with his tux, standing out in the black-tie affair.
Lace and Luce captured the whole group, opulent cathedral ceremony, and stunning Villa Cimbrone so perfectly, we’re ready to hop on the ferry to Ravello – right now.
Our Love Story
Nik and I met through our mutual friends, Zach & Lindsay. Nik owns a wine bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where Zach was a regular. He would always say, “You’ve gotta meet my friend Nik.”
On May 24th, 2013 I get a phone call from Lindsay. I was actually on a date with another guy and ignored her calls, but she kept calling me and sent a text that said, “Urgent, you need to call me back.” So I excused myself from the table and called her back. She said,”You need to leave your date now. Nik is here and me, you, Zach and him are going out.” I left my date, I made up some excuse as to why I need to leave, took a taxi to Zach & Lindsay’s apartment, walked in and there was Nik. This tall, handsome man with a huge smile on his face. The four of us went to a bar and ever since that night Nik and I were inseparable.
Nik proposed to me on top of a mountain in Santorini, Greece. He is an outdoorsy guy, he loves to hike, bike and kayak. I’m more of a sit by the fire with a glass of wine kind of gal, but on May 1st 2017, I got ready to leave our hotel and Nik said, “We’re going on a hike.”
After complaining the whole way up the mountain, I realized, wow this view is just gorgeous! He told me he was going to take a photo of me, but when I turned around, he was on one knee, holding the most gorgeous diamond ring and asked me to marry him.
The four of us are still best friends and on September 6th 2017, Zach was Nik’s Best Man and Lindsay was one of my Maid of Honors.
