We can’t help ourselves this Valentine’s Day but to get in the mood with lush pink and red roses (we hope you’ve all been spoiled with flowers!) and romantic wedding inspiration. Flavelle & Co has pulled out the stops for this rose & gold styled shoot, shopping their own headpiece boutique, rentals, and shooting this inspiration in their signature dreamy style.

The accessories are particularly romantic: a white floral crown with a classic yet fresh birdcage veil for vintage brides, and a dramatic pearl encrusted drop veil for lovers of whimsy. All are paired with utterly romantic gowns from the talented Vancouver designer Truvelle.

Of course, we must also mention the dreamy floral arrangements and color palette spilling throughout this romantic shoot. Varying shades of gold and rose gold glitter between luscious pink and red florals and eclectic greenery.

We fell head over heels for this dark & romantic bridal shoot! A team of local Vancouver vendors joined us to make this a reality. As Flavelle & Co is a company with multiple specialties (Styled Photography, Rentals & Boutique), we were delighted to work on a shoot that showcased all 3 of our services.

Our model, Dane Halo, wears a beautiful gown provided by Vancouver-based shop Truvelle. The Carolina is a modern and elegant choice, with delicate spaghetti straps and a full jacquard skirt. Hair & Makeup was done by the talented Jenny at Mink Makeup & Hair, who went for big voluminous waves and a romantic berry-red lip.

In the first look, the model wears our Miranda Veil and Crown set with matching sash. The drop veil is made of elegant euro tulle, and luminous pearl beads and gold accents embellish the crown. Our statement-making Hélène Crown is featured in the second look. Available in gold and ivory, a crown of artificial flowers is complemented by a sequinned birdcage veil. It is one of our favourites! These one-of a-kind pieces are designed and handmade in-house, available for purchase world wide on our website or Etsy.

The rich colour palette goes beautifully with romantic flowers, provided by Jessica Clark at Quince Fine Florals. We loved the deep reds and pale pinks in this arrangement. The moody table setting is lit by candlelight, accented by rose-gold cutlery and elegant dinnerware. Stationery was custom designed for this shoot by Miranda Flavelle for Flavelle & Co. The gold lettering and green tones melt flawlessly with our gorgeous backdrop, hand-painted by Flavelle & Coís lead Designer, Connie.

Miranda also designed the lettering for our custom rental signs, featured in this set. The Harrison Welcome Sign, Seating Chart and Cheers Sign can all be customized with your names, date, guest list and more. We added a few live flowers to make the artificial greenery on these signs really pop!
