Tears ensue, as he speaks about holding his daughter for the first time, his heart suddenly leaving his body…oh, I’ll stop just watch the video already!

Katie found a previous wedding film of mine on Instagram, and immediately asked to meet in-person to see if I was available to film their wedding. I instantly fell in love with Katie & James, I could tell that they were a lot of fun, very relaxed and laid back people, and I knew that they genuinely wanted to work with me; everything I’m looking for in a couple.
They got married at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg California, which is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a large property with historic brick buildings that make for a fantastic wedding venue indoors or outdoors.
The interior reception hall was perfectly designed, styled and furnished by Trish Mainer, former owner and operator of Getting Hitched? wedding Design and Rentals. During the reception, Katie’s father gave one of the best “father of the bride” speeches I had ever witnessed; I knew as I was filming him that his words would be the backbone to their wedding film.
This was one of those weddings that I would love to do all over again, so much so that I have since become good friends with both Katie & James.
