Vintage & Minimalist Loft Wedding Inspiration

Vintage & Minimalist Wedding Ideas | Mandy Liz Photography 37

While this may be in a church (we were so surprised when we read that!) we love the “loft feels” of this vintage styled, minimalistic wedding inspiration. Bright white walls bounce light onto colorful textiles, berry-hued cakes and this striking modern couple.

The vintage rugs lead us through this casual ceremony space. I’ve always thought it would be a great idea to buy a new rug (or vintage) to get married on, then bring into your new home and life together, and this is such a great display of that! The wooden folding chairs have a midcentury schoolhouse look to them, while the wooden doors and sherpa blankets add a little, wild boho inspiration.

And the cakes, oh the cakes! Three options just as sweet as the other. We have a berry colored ombre cake (which is my favorite), and two naked cakes – so fitting from a modern, trendy affair. Of course, what’s more modern than a minimalist bridal look? You had me at “white, silk slip gown” Mandy, oh my heart.

From Mandy Liz Photography

Fruit and Flora is a Spring bohemian inspired styled shoot where we focused on pops of colors and natural elements. We designed the shoot to be simple, yet beautiful.

We were inspired by Spring colors, flowers, and fruits, and we incorporated them into the cake, the ceremony space, the tablescape, the bride’s hair, etc.

The Flowers

Our bride held a beautiful oversized bouquet to complement her simple wedding gown. We added some little flowers in her hair as well, to go along with the boho theme.

We hung flowers and greenery around the doors that were used as the ceremony backdrop. Our flowers had a lot of pink, red, white, and green elements. We also had a beautiful floral centerpiece on our reception table, and that arrangement had twigs and greenery overflowing out of the vase. It felt very natural.

The Dress & Attire

Our bride wore a stunning yet simple gown, and she accessorized with gold cuffs, bracelets, and stackable rings. We went with a simple look, because we felt that a boho bride would keep her attire chic and simple, but would add to it through jewelry and her favorite accessories

Our groom was in a standard black suit, with a boutonniere and tie to complete his outfit.

The Decor

Our reception table was lined with blue velvet and fresh fruits. Our mismatched china from The Wedding Plate added elegant touches of soft pink, and created a sweet and romantic vibe. We lit candles and let the wax organically melt into place. We used pomegranates and blackberries to add fresh elements.

The stamps on the invitation envelope are vintage, and a wax seal was used for the stationery.

The Cakes

We had three cakes on display on the dessert table, and each one was topped with fresh flowers and fruits. Two of the cakes were one tier desserts, and the other was a two-tier cake. The two tier-cake was drizzled with caramel and had blueberries perched on top and at the foot of the cake. Our baker used pomegranate seeds and matching macaroons to garnish the cake.

The single tier cakes were decorated with flowers and fresh fruit. One with a pink ombre frost and the other one had a natural unfinished look (exposing the cake at places). If you take a good look at the pink cake you will find a sweet miniature macaroon hidden between the cut pear and the flower.
