Hello again,

Are you ready for some romance, elegance, fun and laughter?

Sam and Luke's wedding was the perfect mix of elegance and fun ~ it may have been in a grand, stately home but that didn't stop the bride, groom and their guests letting loose! Sam looked absolutely stunning in her Jenny Packham gown ~ I can't stop admiring the intricate pleating on the bodice, her gorgeous make up and chic red nails! While Luke looked the dapper gentleman in a light grey checked Paul Smith suit. Their wedding was captured beautifully by Nick Tucker. Each image has such a timeless quality and there are some amazing shots of Sam's veil blowing in the wind!

From the bride, Sam:

We wanted our wedding to have the elegance of a wedding in an old stately home but with a party atmosphere. The colour scheme was silver and ivory and our wedding had a modern, romantic feel. We  made a few special touches such as the place mats, the ceremony outside and the music we requested which ensured the whole day reflected our personalities and how we are as a couple. We didn’t want to take the day too seriously but wanted to enjoy ourselves with our family and friends.

Bridal Style I wore a fitted, floaty dress by Jenny Packham with a swarovski cuff and diamante long drop earrings also by Jenny Packham. I was not comfortable with the idea of wearing a big meringue style dress and especially once we had booked the venue I really felt a floaty dress would suit my style and the venue.

My veil was also Jenny Packham which I had borrowed from a friend. It was totally plain with a ivory border around the edge and went down to the floor.  I also wore a diamond bracelet given to me by my Grandparents on my 21st birthday as my something old.  My something blue was a blue ribbon that was sewn into Jenny Packham dresses.

The Men's Attire The groom wore a grey and white Paul Smith checked suit. The dress code was black tie however he didn’t feel comfortable wearing black tie so we both agreed he should wear what he felt comfortable in and go for something a little different! I wasn’t allowed to see his suit beforehand but was so pleased with it and really felt it matched what I was wearing and the venue itself. The ushers wore black tie Paul Smith suits and ivory ties.  They all had white roses in their lapels.

Being Jewish I wanted to acknowledge my heritage and upbringing so we had a Jewish blessing with a Rabbi which we did in front of an arch which was covered in peonies and roses. It was stunning!  Although we were really lucky to be able to have the ceremony outside it was a very windy day! We had to have two of our ushers holding a side each of the arch. My veil also blew off my head during the ceremony which my Dad (rather undelicately) shoved back onto my head!

A Peony Bouquet My bouquet was pink and light pink peonies with crystals hanging from it. I had told Liz at Funky Flowers exactly what I wanted and when she handed me the bouquet in the morning I was over the moon. It looked exactly how I had pictured it in my head.

The Littlest Members of The Bridal Party We had two flower girls and a page boy – all of whom were our close friend's children. I did not want to have bridesmaids. The flower girls wore beautiful full ballet style dresses from BHS that had loose rose petals in the nettings of the dresses. They both wore ivory ballet pumps from John Lewis and head bands. Our page boy wore trousers, a plain white shirt and ivory waistcoat from John Lewis. He also wore an ivory tie which was the same as the ushers and groom (only smaller!)

Don't they look thrilled to be married?!

Come back tomorrow for their gorgeous, fun filled reception!
