On Friday morning I headed to the Hershesons Blow Dry bar in Westfield. These blow dry bars are such a good idea, stylish women in the US have been getting regular blow drys for years, now us Brits have an affordable blow dry option. You don't need to book (though I recommend you do to avoid disappointment) and you can be in and out within half an hour.

If you don't live in London, these cut out and keep hairstyles could certainly inspire your bridal look if you're hoping for something a bit more fashion forward. Here are the chic styles on offer:

I got chatting to my hair stylist, Amy, about Bridal hairstyles. She said they get a lot of brides coming in looking for something a bit more contemporary and ‘undone', rather than the traditional updos that are often expected of brides. She said that they can offer group discounts (depending on how many bridesmaids would need their hair done) and that they'd need a deposit to secure the booking as often the whole salon is booked out for large bridal parties! Fair enough.

She said that Brides do tend to stick to timeless styles such as The Bardot or The Classic but that bridesmaids are a bit more daring. Amy said that most stylists are happy to be flexible with the styles on offer, for example if a bride wanted a messy side bun or a pleat, this could be arranged beforehand.

Here's my 3 favourite bridal styles for classic, vintage or bohemian brides:

If you are a bride in London, I highly recommend the Blow Dry bar in Westfield. It's a gorgeous salon located in The Village (the fancy, designer end of Westfield) and there's a swanky champagne bar nearby for a post hair syling tipple!

I left £24 lighter but with an incredible mane which was worth every penny! Seriously, those stylists have magic hands.

I have long straight hair without an once of body or a wave in sight but on Friday, I looked like such a glamour puss with my big, glossy, Hollywood waves! (I went for a mix between The Marcel and The Wavy Gravy btw)I stupidly didn't get a photo but will definitely be back there ASAP and will share the before and afters with you lovely lot!

I accessorized with a chic black hairband from Urban Outfitters that Blair Waldorf would have coveted and I was ready for the Designer Wedding Show! Expect gossip from the show and a run down of the bridal catwalk later in the week.
