Stephanie Weber, our talented featured photographer of the day asks “Who doesn’t love Alice In Wonderland?” Indeed! Our team certainly perked up when we saw the perfect execution of this whimsical blue wedding inspiration.

Whether or not you’re an Alice lover (we expect you probably must land at least somewhere between ‘like’ and ‘absolutely love’) this fantastical editorial features loads of pretty fashion, dainty details, colorful groom style & many more highly pinnable ideas.

For one, we have a bit of a thing for elegant vintage china in outdoor spaces. The upscale table setting turns a rustic, organic scene to a picture perfect garden party. It seems as though the rest of the wedding scene’s details explode from the fine china in forms of velvet ribbon, blue & butter yellow florals, antique chairs & dainty calligraphed wedding stationery.

I have grown up a Disney fan (who hasn’t, right?) and one of my favorite films is Alice In Wonderland. I admire how different she is amongst all the princess’ (even though Alice isn’t really considered one) and maybe this is what I loved most about her character. I loved how she wasn’t afraid to be bold, to go outside the lines, and to speak her mind. While in wonderland she comes across things out of the ordinary, people out of the ordinary and she perseveres.

We recreated a lot of the elements in the film, from the teacups, clocks and whimsical florals to the “eat me” cookies, and we even had Lewis, Carol and Alice join our mad tea party as our very important guests.

The designs chosen for the ceremony and reception site included a mismatched combination of shabby chic rentals, bringing to life the mad tea party. We showcased vintage books, keys, and even The White Rabbit made an appearance throughout the shoot.

We ended our shoot as the sun set and our couple enjoyed reading a book, much like when the story began with Alice and she entered wonderland as her sister read her a book.
