Would you guess this light-filled & absolutely immaculate rooftop wedding took place in December? Thanks to Los Angeles’ sunny winters alongside CCL Wedding & Event‘s design talent, this wedding has us reconsidering winter weddings.

Quinn & Jon’s LA wedding had the framework for a quintessentially modern, rooftop wedding. Booking a venue that boasted clean lines, open space, a rooftop deck & plenty of glass, their December wedding could have easily been styled in an austere fashion. But thanks to Quinn’s vision, CCL Wedding’s planning skills & Art With Nature‘s luscious greenery & blooms the minimalistic space came alive!

We’re so taken by the design & outcome of this beautiful wedding scene, we can’t help but beg for a few tips from our artistic real bride: “Pick 1 or 2 things that are really important to you and allow yourself to splurge on those, and save on everything else”. Florals were high on Quinn & Jon’s list and boy are the results incredible!

Our Love Story

We met at my (Quinn’s) cousin’s summer BBQ. We had great conversation and planned our first date to be a run at Huntington Beach. We started off with a lot of runs at the beach, long summer nights, and the rest is history!

Around six years of dating, Jon and I decided to do a trip to London in the winter. I’ve always wanted to go since London is one of the most beautiful cities during the winter holidays. On the day before New Year’s eve, he proposed at the beautiful Tower Bridge. We flew back home to California a couple of days later, with a new Tiffany ring as our London souvenir!

The Wedding Day Style

The venue (South Park Center) is very modern with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the LA skyline. I let that influence my choice of glamorous acrylic invitations and signage, and ghost chairs. To counteract all those modern clean lines, I wanted the florals to be lush, abundant, glamorous.

CCL Weddings did a great job of interpreting and running with my vision! The most striking part of the wedding was the truss we built, draped with greenery and chandeliers!

Favorite Moments

The speeches by our friends and family were one of our most cherished moments.

Another cute touch was the cocktail napkins – I am a little artistic, so I drew up a Porsche with a newlywed groom & bride. Jon loves cars, especially his beloved Porsche. And I’m a crazy cat lady, so it’s a cat sitting next to the groom. We had those printed on the napkins and all our friends and family laughed at how perfectly it captured us!

Advice to Other Couples

Highly recommend using a wedding planner. CCL Weddings & Events made it easy!

Pick one or two things that are really important to you and allow yourself to splurge on those, and save on everything else. Florals and invitations were important to me, and I’m happy both with what I spent, and how they turned out.

The Honeymoon

We spent a month traveling Australia and Bali and YES we would recommend it to other couples! We weren’t able to do it immediately after the wedding, we did it four months later. We highly recommend all couples to take this one chance to celebrate their marriage, whether it’s a quick getaway to Hawaii or a longer adventure like us!
