Dreamcatcher Wedding Ideas for The Bohemian Bride

It’s 2020 and bohemian decor like handmade macrame & dreamcatchers still thrive in the wedding world (and we’re so happy about it!)

Set in a secret garden-like venue, featuring two boho brides, we’re living for this free-spirited inspiration. Natural textures like raffia, rope & terracotta set the tone for an organic and absolutely hip wedding scene designed by Gissell Weddings.

Center stage in this dreamy decor is the waving set of dreamcatchers which we think would be a fabulous altar, photo booth background or hanging behind your head table.

Who do we almost always think of first when dressing our wild-hearted brides? Rue De Seine, of course! We’re so happy to see one of our favorite gowns of late – the blue-hued Aegean gown – paired with the equally trendy Willowby by Watters Adelaide lace dress.

This styled shoot was a dream to put together and inspired by pride month, unique love, textures and bold colors. We wanted to push the boundaries and decided to have two brides saying I do under a 14″ dream catcher altar surrounded by a beautiful garden and whimsical decor.

We went with an earthy color palette with hues of blue, copper, terracotta and cream which with the bold orange and green succulent colors. We reached out to a few local artists who came together to collaborate on this dreamy decor, every single piece of fiber art was handmade. We also included a very talented calligrapher, baker and florist.

To complement the decor, we decided to introduce vintage furniture, copper table settings, macrame backdrops and table runners. The florals were accentuated with pampas grass and succulents to give it a unique boho-style.

The models wore Adelaide by Willowby and Aegean by Rue De Seine. We picked gold vintage jewelry to complement the makeup, hairstyles and overall look.
