Styled Shoots/Ideas & Inspiration

You’ve Never Seen Hawaiian Wedding Inspiration Like This…

Loulu Palm

Moody tones, a colorful wedding dress & creative eco-friendly details – this Hawaiian wedding inspiration is unlike anything we’ve seen before!

We’ve featured weddings before from Oahu’s Loulu Palm Estate (who could blame us?!) and while each wedding day has its own personality shall we say, this dark & romantic styled shoot is truly one-of-a-kind.

We were captured instantly by the misty painted Leanne Marshall gown, chocolate-exposed naked cake & deep purple palm leaves decorating the tables.

But it’s not just the unconventional color palette that makes this scene so unique. The talented team imagined creative ways to make this (and any couples taking inspiration!) wedding inspiration eco-friendly. From plantable name cards to choosing a venue dedicated to sustainability, you’ll find plenty of nature-conscience ideas when browsing through this editorial!

Loulu Palm Estate is a breathtaking oceanfront venue located on the North Shore of Oahu, a favorite Hawaiian island for destination and local brides alike.

Loulu (as it’s lovingly called by anyone who has had a chance to see its beauty) made a conscious choice to raise environmental awareness and uses its voice to highlight the importance of sustainability and eco-friendly alternatives in the wedding industry. Loulu has banned the use of any plastic on its property and instead opts for eco-friendly compostable options, or re-usable materials such as glass, wood, ceramic, or silver for food and drinks. We were so inspired by Loulu’s commitment to sustainability and the future of our islands and wanted to honor + highlight eco-friendly wedding alternatives in this sustainable + moody North Shore wedding design.

Our florals were created by using a combination of dried and re-purposed eucalyptus, king proteas, protea neriifolia, anthuriums and responsibly foraged fillers such as pampas grass. Colby of Wanderer Weddings made smudge sticks as a favor. Our tablescape was decorated with dried flowers, crushed velvet, black plates, plantable name cards.

Our bride wore Leanne Marshall‘s beautiful watercolor dress for a reception look and a beautiful boho gown by Grace Loves Lace for the ceremony look.
