Romantic African Garden Wedding Inspiration – Kind Fisher Boma – Stepan Vrzala – Love From Mwai 17

We love showing brides & grooms how they can make any venue or raw space “their own” and this week we have the ultimate example: two stunning wedding inspiration shoots in Africa that are 100% fresh, modern and different from one another.

Styling their wedding looks near Victoria Falls at The Royal Livingstone Resort, Love From Mwai and her talented team of wedding vendors created all sorts of contrasting wedding magic (five shoots, actually!) are we’re delighted to share some highlights of their work.

Part one of Bridal Musings’ feature is delightfully surprising – this riverside wedding inspiration speaks more of an Italian garden than the African bush (don’t worry, we have plenty of that coming tomorrow, too!) With modern flower arrangements & romantic, subdued fashion, one might guess this couple was saying “I do” in Europe were it not for the sweet zebra roaming about.

From Love From Mwai

In a quiet hideaway—nestled far from the world’s noise— is a secret garden of sorts that looks as much like Italy as it does like Africa, except the parts of Africa most of the world is not yet accustomed to seeing. Tall grasses blow in the warm breeze and the fragrant aromas of wildflowers fill the air. Quiet river waters attract Zebras that make for magical appearances among the photographs and the most fun “wedding crashers” one could hope for.

This was shot at The Fishers, a beautiful location that waits patiently for its next drink of love. It’s an intimate location and treasure trove of beauty for an exotic and romantic destination wedding.

With its gold seals, soft pinks, and undone edges, the stationary set the tone for the design with its raw, romantic feel. We carried the colour palette and slightly undone feel of the stationary throughout the flowers to keep the aesthetic and atmosphere cohesive.

A floral aisle laid the path to a breathtaking floral half-arch where floral creepers lifted the eye upward as they climbed to new heights. Half a floral arch played off of the “undone” and raw vision but fully measured up with double the appeal. Wildflowers stood on tip-toes and bowed as they beamed on an outdoor stage where they were made to shine.

Playing up on the fashion elegance, the models wore sophisticated and chic black-tie attire. The bride donned a long-sleeve lace two-piece dress that had both a modest and excitable appeal with its fully-covered top yet peek-a-boo midriff cut. Her center part and simple updo complemented the chic style and the groom’s black suit kept the look elegant.
