Hello lovelies!
I hope you all had a wonderful week and weekend. What did I miss? Got any gossip for me?!
I was absolutely blown away by the supportive comments and tweets from so many of you after my personal post last week. Thank you for your kindness, warmth and patience.
Now onto the wedding loveliness…
I promised I'd be back with a bang and Zachary and Emily's wedding is suitably ‘bang' worthy!
Filled with navy and pale pink details, dapper gents in bow ties and tuxedos, romantic, fluffy peonies as well as one gorgeously fluffy wedding dress. The couple described their wedding day style perfectly as ‘J.Crew meets Martha Stewart country elegance'. Emily & Zach focused on the things they love the most: their family, friends and alma mater, Bucknell University ~ where they held their wedding!
Their flowers were a beautiful combination of Pink Peonies, Ranunculus and English Roses while the decor consisted of framed photos and memorabilia from Bucknell. They included a meaningful sand ceremony during their wedding ceremony and poured sand from South Korea (Emily's birthplace) and City Island, Bronx, NY (Zach's birthplace) into one vessel. Zachary bought Emily a gorgeous David Yurman bracelet, while Emily bought her maids matching Kate Spade necklaces. What stylish gifts!
Their first dance was to Just the Way You Are (acoustic) by Boyce Avenue.

Their refreshments (get ready to drool) ~
Cocktail Hour ~ Grammy Chiodo's famous “bullets” (meatballs), “Bison” dip (spinach dip), General Tso Chicken bites on fried rice, Bacon wrapped scallops
Dinner ~ Shrimp bisque, Petite Filet with Crab Cake, Asparagus, Roasted fingerling potatoes
Cake ~ Funfetti created by Cakes by Ruth
Late Night ~ Pulled pork sliders, french fry bar (chili, cheese, gravy, and lots of delicious toppings!)
Photography and Videography ~ We chose our photographers and videographers for the same reason: they are some of the most incredibly talented professionals in the business. Brooke Courtney and Birdhouse Productions have an eye for style, don't miss the special moments and are by far the most creative people I know.
Emily's advice ~ For the couple: As you plan your wedding, don't worry about what is “traditional” or expected – do what best reflects who you are as a couple and have FUN!
For the bride: Take a deep breath right before you walk down the aisle and remember that moment forever.
Thanks so much to Emily and Zachary for sharing their beautiful wedding and to Brooke Courtney Photography for these equally beautiful photos! You can check out Emily and Zachary's awesome wedding film by Birdhouse Productions here:
