Personally, 2020 has been a reminder to create time for relaxing, self-care, and de-stressing. It’s been a year to pamper my besties with mindful gifts and heartfelt messages. When thinking about buying Christmas gifts this year, I’ve got my eyes set on calming textures, happy tones, and anything that will enhance the stay-at-home routine.

Not only do I write here at Bridal Musings, but I also spend time with plenty of bright and earthy wedding inspiration at Southwest Wed! From the Salt Flats to the oasis of the golden desert, it’s undeniable that these stunning locations feel tranquil and inspiring.
So, this shopping list is filled with calming tones like the many shades of desert sands. I’ve chosen boho, organic materials and textures. Whatever sparks peaceful energy, or enhances rituals and self-love is on my xmas list – inspired by the bright and sandy Southwest.
Thanks to Claire for the Shop Small 2020 initiative. It’s refreshing to take a moment and focus on the individuals creating beautiful art pieces, sourcing unique vintage, and adding moments of beauty into the world. (You can see her Etsy gift picks, here!)
Sunny pick-me-up gifts for you and your friends to stay chill
Lightweight, neutral-toned beaded earrings by Hoof & Arrow – These are perfect for the minimalist or for the babe who loves to accessorize. These stunners can even double as a boho bridal earring, too!
Oversized chunky knit cardigan by myracle handmade – I’m always a sucker for anything with a 70’s inspired feel. Pieces with an oversized fit mean you don’t need to worry much about sizing if you’re shopping for a friend. It’s a fun alternative to spending all winter indoors in a sweatshirt.
A fun, vintage sundress by LOOK VINTAGE STORE – Since vintage dresses are fun and easy to shop on Etsy, I’ve chosen a favorite gem from decades past. Perfect for a bride’s engagement session, a party dress, or just sunnier days ahead. (I still haven’t decided which I’m buying for myself!) If you don’t feel like going into shops, you can still get your vintage fix on Etsy.
Fancy bath oils by Astrid Aurora – Body oils have been life-changing for me during this year of quarantine. Being the notorious bath-lover that I am this is an essential to my spa ritual. Using a luxurious oil leaves you feeling nourished and glowy and relaxed – you’ll thank me later.
Hand-knit catnip toys by Shop Brighter Sides – With a percent of proceeds going toward animal welfare charities, these adorable toys will keep your house cats happy and also help others find care and new homes!
Calming and inspiring wall art – Neutral colored mid-century-inspired prints or abstract art will mix in with your current art collection. Invite new calming energy into your home. I promise, it will feel a little more inspiring and give you a great reason to re-decorate.
A sophisticated, badass gold chain by Diana Ho Designs – The perfect gender-neutral accessory for anyone. Keep the golden glow all year, and feel put together, even if you’re only wearing a relaxed tee.
Handmade propagation station by Fabiana Loschi – Use these as bud vases for the little bits of flowers you gather on a walk outside, as cute vessels for your propagation cuttings, or even for dried plants and greenery.
Floral joints by Wyld Essence – Just natural flowers and nothing else. I find I love a ritual and a reason to take a moment with my thoughts. Great for your herbalist friends, and a fun alternative to a celebratory cigar.
Catch-all coasters by Es House Handmade Goods – Brighten up your next cup of tea with these asymmetrical citrus resin coasters. Happy fruit for your entryway, coffee table, or bathroom, and easy to use as table decorations or “catch-all” trays.
Macrame Toilet Paper Holder by Sasak Market – “Christina was too shy to include this BRILLIANT addition to her list, but as Editor, I stepped in & took the plunge. Wouldn't a bohemian bride more heartily enjoy a free-spirited poo?” – Editor-in-Chief, Claire Eliza.
