This swanky Microwedding inspiration has us dreaming of Zagreb...

We thought this Croatian wedding inspiration felt romantic, sultry & most importantly for this time of year: festive.

As I admitted in this casual seaside wedding, with family in Korčula I am a complete sucker for Croatian weddings. After all, it’s in my blood! I can’t help but dream of the next days we’ll be able to return to the family vineyards drinking Grk (a delicious white wine grape indigenous to my family’s island) and noshing on plenty of octopus. Le sigh.

Until then, we’ll have to live through the photographs of Nina Anic! While typically we see views of the Mediterranean in our Croatian wedding features, we absolutely LOVE how this swanky hotel inspires any bride and groom considering a glamorous Microwedding. Taking place in a stunning grand hotel in Croatia’s capital city, this feature begs any couple to consider Zagreb for their destination wedding.

After a nicely booked, great wedding season plans for 2020 ahead – more than 90% of it all got either canceled or rebooked to next year. With so much time on our hands and us three friends, a photographer, a florist and a wedding planner got together for a styled shoot in our city.   The idea behind this is to show how really small celebrations, with the closest of family, can be even more meaningful than a large wedding.

We chose one of our most luxurious venues in the city, Hotel Esplanade. A venue where you can feel the tradition and time passed. We wanted to include local vendors, so everything and everyone involved is local: like the dress designers, a duo of famous designers called Envy Room, the suit, the rings, the make-up artist and hairdresser. So, it was quite some fun to be involved.
