This editorial is truly catnip for me. Dress cool-bride models with fabulous wild curls in my own wedding dress (& other of my designer’s gowns) and have them glide through the streets & alleyways of Portugal? Love.
I knew I would be an A La Robe bride before Jack and I got engaged. Open my wardrobe and one will find a treasure trove of silk slips and backless dresses. The Kiwi designer based in France supplied everything I wanted in a wedding dress. Her collection is effortlessly cool, fashion-forward, sexy, easy to wear and of the utmost quality. Fashion will evolve season after season and yet there will never be a more perfect wedding gown for me than Claudette.
So when photographer Agata of Couplet sent me this sexy Portuguese editorial, cool enough to be A La Robe’s own look book, I just had to share. Through her lens, we can see that Agata seems to understand what makes A La Robe’s silk gowns so special. Choosing models with their own effortless & wild looks, it shows how romantic & easy-going A La Robe brides tend to be.
Furthermore, that relaxed vibe emanates throughout the shoot. Rather than meticulously styling overthought wedding scenes, she lets the brides be free to tell their stories. Which I can tell you is exactly what we A La Robe brides want.
