This week, we’ve been sharing some of our favourite collections from Bridal Fashion Week. And today we’ve got one that we think Bridal Musings’s readers will love.
Gala, is the more affordable, ready-to-wear offshoot of couture label Galia Lahav. It launched last year, with designs that were almost as opulent, just as sexy, and equally gorgeous as the main collection.
Last season the two collections complemented each other beautifully, but for F/W 2017, Gala has got its own unique look and feel, and we have to say, we’re loving it.
While there are some of the ultra sexy and ornately embellished designs synonymous with Galia Lahav, the latest Gala collection is a lot more fashion forward and romantic, with modern cuts, boho styles, fluttering shoulders, sweeping capes, and glamorous jumpsuits.
As part of the Bridal Fashion Week showcase, Galia Lahav had live photoshoots rather than a conventional catwalk, to launch their new collection. And we’re excited to share one of those with you today.
Scroll down to feast your eyes on this fabulous collection, but first up, read more about the inspiration behind it, from the team at Gala by Galia Lahav.
From the Designer
Gala No. III Collection is strongly inspired by the bohemian, unconventional lifestyle and is dedicated to the Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini.
As Fellini knew his way in blending fantasy, baroque images and earthiness, so is our whimsical “BOBO” collection; You’ll find a handful of fabrics, silhouettes, laces and senses of style that redefines the term “wedding outfits”.
The bohemians were known for pursuing a musical, artistic and literary livelihood… So, in this context, our collection is suited to adventurers and aspiring brides-to-be that seek a fashion ‘arcane enlightenment’.
The color palette is a mixture of pink blush, silver linings and ivory and milky-white laces, alongside trendy unconventional cuts.
Isn’t it gorgeous, I love the blend of the eclectic boho gowns and the more current, minimal designs.
