Tuscan Sunlight: Garden Chic Wedding Inspiration

Rushmore Estate

Discover the allure of Tuscan charm with this garden chic wedding inspiration, masterfully presented at the Rushmore Estate. Curated by Wild Lily Event Planning and beautifully captured by Meghan Ann Imagery, this shoot transports you to an Italian villa without ever leaving home. The organic color palette of green and creamy tones beautifully complements the estate’s natural grandeur, while textured linens and whimsical florals by Fleur add a touch of rustic elegance.

From the hand-calligraphed place cards to the delicate satin bows, each detail has been thoughtfully chosen to create a serene, intimate setting ideal for couples seeking a small yet sophisticated wedding. This styled shoot beautifully showcases the creative possibilities when top-tier talent comes together.

From the Planner: Theme & Concept

The overall theme for this shoot was ‘Tuscan Garden Chic’. I used an organic and natural color palette with green and creamy tones and filled the tables with natural chic materials and whimsical florals. I love the natural beauty of Rushmore Estate and wanted to highlight that throughout the shoot. I carefully selected an all-star team of vendors who I knew would do incredible things in bringing this vision to life. Every one of them is uniquely creative in their own way and did not disappoint in producing true magic on shoot day.

Inspiration and Focus

As last year’s wedding season started to die down, I knew I wanted to do something fun and creative in the ‘off-season’. I reached out to a wedding photographer and friend of mine, Isabelle Stowik, and asked if she wanted to partner with me and plan a styled shoot. I have always loved European and Mediterranean-styled weddings and have been itching to design one for a while now. I knew I wanted to do something that mimicked the gardens of Tuscany, and everything just came together seamlessly. Our main focus for this shoot was to keep it small and intimate while focusing on the little details that can sometimes be overlooked at a big wedding

Location and Setup

Once you step foot onto Rushmore Estate’s beautiful property with its stunning architecture and vintage feel, you feel as if you have been transported to a Tuscan Villa. The statement piece was a long banquet table centered in the room. It had a textured ivory linen from BBJ La Tolva with velvet mossy green napkins from Nuage Design. Christina’s Rental Supply set the table with beautiful cross-back chairs, wooden candle holders, coupe plates, crystal stemware, and silver flatware. Fleur then filled the table with lush whimsical florals, while Sadie Bean Design placed down hand-calligraphed table numbers and place cards.

Models & Fashion

Laura and Nick are actually one of Isabelle’s clients! When she was sending me potential candidates of those who were interested in modeling, I knew right away they were the ones. There was something about them that I knew they were going to be the perfect pair for this shoot. They are college sweethearts who are so in love that it shows in every single photo.

The vision for the attire was simple and timeless while being elegant, and chic. Laura was wearing a satin square neck gown with a front slit, that is both sophisticated and alluring. This was paired with a stunning long pearl veil that complimented the simplicity of the dress beautifully. Her second look was something a little more chic, a gorgeous bodycon dress with a fun three-dimensional floral pattern. The dress and the veil were provided by The Dressing Room Boutique. Nick was wearing a simple classic black tux with a bowtie and suspenders provided by Modern Formals in North Haven. These styles complimented the models perfectly, which made them confident in photos and it showed.
