Happy Monday everybody!!

Ok so Mondays aren't usually the most exciting day of the week but I'm celebrating the return of Bridal Musings (after being knee deep in snow and moving boxes these past two weeks). Oh how I missed all things wedding and you guys, of course. Feel free to join me in a little happy dance.

We're starting the week off with Jessica and Joe's elegant, pastel hued wedding filled with old world romance and charm. Sprigs of lavender and pretty macaroons adorned the tables, their first dance was a classic waltz and their sparkler send off, sat on the hood of a cadillac, was nothing short of perfect.

Add to that, their beautiful photos were taken by Brooke Courtney Photography and their wedding was captured exquisitely on 8mm film* by Birdhouse Productions. Which leaves me nothing more to say other than…it's good to be back!

Here's a little more about their wedding from Brooke Courtney Photography :

Joe + Jessica tied the knot at a local church and held their reception at the Moonstone Manor. They wanted an old world, elegant feel to their day, so Moonstone Manor was perfect for their celebration! Jess ordered her shoes from the UK (before she found her dress!) and they arrived via Royal Mail. Joe's tuxedo was custom made for him in New York City, with antique buttons purchased online to compliment the look.

Their reception was one of the most beautiful I've been to. Each table was named after the couple's favorite paintings and their first dance was a classic waltz. The lavendar on the menus at everyone's seat came from Jessica's Mom's and Great Aunt's garden. The dessert bar included their favorite treats, including French maccaroons they discovered on a trip to Paris and Italian Seven Layer Cake (one of Joe's favorites, from Brooklyn, NYC). Signature drinks were chosen by Joe + Jessica for the evening – “Cuba Libre” for the groom and “Wedding Cake Martinis” for the bride.

Watch Jessica and Joe's gorgeous wedding film by Birdhouse Productions over in the Film Gallery ~ it's a must see if you like all things classic, vintage, retro and elegant.

Many congratulations to the happy couple and thank you to Brooke Courtney Photography as well as the lovely Natalie of Birdhouse Productions for sharing all the beauty of their day.

ps. Anyone else think that macaron ring shot is quite possibly the best ring shot in the world ever?
