A boho bride, her besotted groom and a handful of their closest family gathered together for an intimate, musical wedding ceremony in the great (and very green) outdoors of North Carolina.

Cameron had that bohemian chic vibe down to a tee in her figure hugging lace dress and delicate floral crown. Her bouquet was suitably eclectic too with vibrant colours, thistles and even artichokes! While dapper Dan was positively beaming with love and pride the whole time.

Cameron explained:

Our wedding motto was ‘NO STRESS'. There was nothing but fun, love and happiness the entire day. We used family and friends to help with all parts of the ceremony, flowers from this part of the state, and a lot of heart.

And that is evident in every single one of these beautiful images by Michelle Lyerly Photography.

The Ceremony

We had our musical family participate and ring in our amazing day. My husband, Daniel, is in a band NICO VEGA, his father Len Epand is in a band the AVENGERS, and his brother and girlfriend are in a band called QUEEN CAVEAT. We were so blessed to have so much live music and energy throughout the day. The brother of the groom and his girlfriend wrote a song for the processional. ‘Everlasting Love' with a twist was the recessional.

We had 3 readings. One from RUMI, one from BUDDHA, and one from BOB DYLAN. We incorporated stomping on the glass (an omage to Dan’s Jewish ancestors). I also was blessed with blessing oil before I walked down the aisle.

Michelle Lyerly had not only an amazing porfolio, but an amazing personality to boot. We enjoyed her during our day. She brought such a sweet flair and her images came out QUITE outstanding. I would recommend her to anyone.

So simply beautiful.

What was your favorite moment?

THE KISSING PART!

I love that it was only family, but when we kissed my family friends were “peeping” in the distance and they all cheered. What a very happy day!

Any advice for other brides and couples?

YES. Make yourself happy. Go with simple. The most important thing is that you have your loved ones there and they can all share the moment with you. Going crazy over simple details will ruin the day. Allow the day to unfold and magic will happen when you least expect it. Our wedding weekend included only parents and siblings and it allowed our familes to truly become one. Of course after the matter we had a series of parties all around the US to celebrate! If you have your spouse to be with you, that’s truly all you need.

Congratulations to Cameron and Dan! Thanks for sharing your special day with us.
