Happy weekend!

I hope you have something fabulous planned.

I'll be busy beavering away on the backend of the blog this weekend.

For those of you who have ever gone through a new website design, it's all-consuming isn't it? A bit like wedding planning, really!

And I've been just as indecisive as I was when it came to choosing my wedding dress.

Yes, designer friends, I'm that girl.

However, after months spent agonising over every minute detail, I'm counting down the days till I finally get to share the new and improved Bridal Musings with you all!

Anyhoo, enough about me, Saturdays on Bridal Musings are all about pretty palettes and wondrous wedding inspiration from the lovely Rose of Rose and Ruby Paper Co.

Chalkboards are massive right now and have such a beautiful soft textural quality.

It is a great basic theme to build on and can be really elegant and personal.

To recreate this look at your wedding:

  • Use textures in your dress and decorations – laces, suede, tissue paper garlands, wood etc.
  • Chalkboards look fab with chalky tones so follow through in decorations; white tonal flowers with a hint of palest green or blush.
  • Anemones really bring life to this look with their beautiful rich centres and work beautifully with succulents and pale silvery green leaves.
  • Dramatic hanging garlands can really add wow to your ceremony space – you can use anything to create this look from scraps of fabric cut into strips and paper chains to our current fave – strings of threaded carnation heads which are really easy to DIY and look fabulously opulent.

Thanks so much, Rose.

I just adore chalkboard wedding inspiration – the ceremony backdrop/photobooth concept above is awesome. Don't you think?
