This bright and colourful, fun filled wedding is going to make you smile. Fact. The groom wore yellow Converse, the bride wore a gorgeous 50s prom style wedding dress, the buttonholes were sunflowers, the ceremony decor was multicoloured paper lanterns hung from the ceiling and the maids wore a rainbow of ditsy print floral shift dresses!

The talented photographer, Jamie Bott, is clearly passionate about Documentary Wedding Photography. On his website he describes how he works: I aim to, and take great pleasure, in documenting the events that you and your guests do not always see but that collectively make up the story of your day.

When you see these stunning photos, the unexpected, tender, sweet and funny moments caught on camera, you'll agree that they tell Richard and Emily's wedding story beautifully.

In Jamie's words:

Richard and Emily were married at the Old Rectory in Pyworthy near Bude and Holsworthy in North Cornwall. It was a truly summery occasion and the outfits and English country theme of the Wedding on which both Emily and Richard had worked so hard fit the day perfectly.

{Such a simple but thoughtful touch!}

{Emily is such a classic beauty}

{I adore these colourful, happy shots of the ceremony!}

{Don't you just love their matching yellow shoes?!}

{What a stylish bridal party!}

Wow…

Thank you to Jamie Bott for sharing these wonderful photographs, lots more colour and fun to come in Part 2, The Reception, complete with pool table, magician and lawn games!
