It's rather wet and miserable here in London. Spring hasn't sprung and summer feels miles away.

But fear not, I have a beautiful engagement shoot to share with you all that will whisk you away to bask in the sunshine, feel the sand between your toes and hear the waves lapping on the shore.

Hannah and Chris spent a sweet afternoon by the sea bathed in dreamy, pink sunlight.

While Lucy Birkhead Photography captured their love so beautifully and naturally.

ps.I'm a little bit obsessed with Hannah's e-shoot outfit – the appliquéd white sundress teamed with chic red nails and a chunky pink cardigan thrown around her shoulders. Perfection.

pps. Be sure to scroll down for their adorable NYC proposal story too!

 The Proposal…

Chris proposed in New York last November, he asked my dad for permission and my dad promised to keep the secret that he was taking me away to New York for our anniversary without anyone knowing including me!

We got as far as the departure gate before Chris told me he was taking me back to a city that we have so many amazing memories, he was acting a little strange and on edge but he managed to plant a seed in my head that some friends could be joining us for a surprise so I didn’t suspect a thing.

On our first evening in Manhattan we went for dinner to our favourite restaurant Bubby’s, one of my favourite songs came on and suddenly I felt very emotional. The whirlwind of being whisked away to my favourite city and sitting in a restaurant that held so many special memories with Chris and my family I began to well up. Chris had tickets to take me to the Top of the Rock at midnight to pop the question over the view of Manhattan but he felt that it was the moment in Bubby’s. Chris proposed with a Haribo ring with the promise to choose my ring the next day together in Manhattan.

I was in total shock and it took what seemed like forever to actually get the word ‘Yes’ out, he then gave me a letter that my dad had written to me which just completed my perfect moment. After it had sunk in and a few glasses of bubbles we went up to the top of the Rockafella to celebrate over the beautiful city lights.

I couldn’t of dreamt it better myself!
