As you only honeymoon once {yes, I'm using the word honeymoon as a verb…it sounds all fancy and I like it!}

I have gone ALL out!

Usually when I go on holiday, I don't consider my outfits till the day before and mostly rely on old favourites-that trusty black bikini, that white broderie anglaise skirt and those scuffed gold flip flops etc. Sometimes I even have to dash to the VAT free but still expensive French Connection for last minute buys at the airport!

But this time, I have thought carefully about each and every item and I must confess I'm loving my honeymoon wardrobe! I've gone for grown up glamour seeing as I'm a married lady now…and to be fair, I am 27 so it's about time!

Here are the key items that I'm taking:

For me, it's all about the 70s floppy hat! It inspired my whole honeymoon look.

I really REALLY wanted to test drive a few of my outfits, or at least my hat, these past few sunny days in London but resisted the urge!

Anyone else honeymoon shopping?

If you're in the UK I highly recommend Primark for string vests {£1.50 each!} and sandals {such a big selection} Zara for their gorgeous crepe and pleated maxi skirts, H&M for their reasonably priced hats and linen trousers, ASOS for their bikinis, vests and sun dresses and Topshop for their maxi dresses. FYI the swimsuit pictured is by Spanx, it's expensive but so worth it…sucks you in like nobody's business and is very flattering for us smaller busted ladies.
