It's rare that I get excited about silk wedding dresses (I'm more of a lace and tulle kind of girl).

Truth be told, the fabric is a bit of a personal no-go for me unless I'm ‘Spanxed up' to the max.

But there's something so utterly beautiful about Australian designer, Johanna Johnson‘s Art Deco inspired gowns that makes me wish I'd sashayed down the aisle in one of her signature billowing, metallic silk designs. Delicate, forehead skimming, bohemian headdress and wrist cuffs in tow.

The stunning Spring / Summer 2014 ‘Muse' Collection launched at New York Bridal Week and was inspired by the city itself!

This collection of bridal and red carpet gowns was inspired by the architecture of New York city, the building blocks of Art Deco. From the elegance of the Chrysler Building, to the empress of the city – The Empire State building – this collection is made up of beautiful embellished beaded designs, paneled silk gowns, detailed French laces and reflective metallic silhouettes.

Aren't those embellishments incredible?

I'm loving the metallic bronze/gold eye make up on the models too!

Johanna Johnson's ‘Muse' collection will be available in select stores internationally from Dec 1, 1013 and for pre-sale immediately. Visit the website for info on stockists.
