If you’ve ever dreamed of being a Disney princess or storybook prince for a day, then get ready to grab your other half, and swoon.
This blooming beautiful inspiration shoot, shot by Katelyn James Photography, styled by Amanda Veronee, of Anthomanic, and starring real life couple Alicia and Rob Lacey, is a grown-up fairytale come true; opulent florals, lavish decor, bright bows, rich hues, dazzling penmanship and a too-incredible-to-eat tiered purple wedding cake, with a castle, yes a castle, on top.
Amanda explains her inspiration behind this extravagant shoot, “This shoot was inspired by the ‘radiant orchid’ Pantone, Colour of the Year and paired with a fairy tale theme. We chose soft flowers in different tones of radiant orchid, lavender and fuschia.
We gave a nod to the fairy-tale theme complete with bow details, crystal elements, and other soft, feminine details and textures – including a Cinderella castle cake topper! Grey and silver tones coordinated with the the silver and pewter trays and goblets and also worked as a soft contrast to the bold coloring of the florals.
Flower types used: lavender phalaenopsis orchids, lavender (dyed) and purple hydrangea, ‘Cool Water’ roses, ‘Golem’ fuschia carnations, ‘Moonvista’ carnations and mini carnations, purple vanda orchids, and madame pompadour dendrobium orchids”
Wow. What a fabulous ode to this year’s Pantone, Colour of the Year? Glorious invites, punchy florals and that cake… Love those Badgley Mischka shoes too, so pretty.
