Today we have McKelle and David's sweet, daisy-laced engagement shoot. Captured by the “Real Life Fairytale Photographer” herself, Kristen Booth, this pretty meadow shoot was captured in the Marin County in the picturesque Bay Area in California.

With stunning ocean views, and a blend of rustic woodland and floral pastures, it's the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous twosome to laze, cuddle, and frolic as they celebrate their story book engagement.

This pair have a fairytale of a proposal story which includes a horse and carriage, a waterfall, a big surprise and a real life princess castle in Europe…

We had a trip planned for a few months to go pick up my sister in London when she finished her study abroad.

Before the trip, I totally thought David was going to propose on the trip (come on, it's Europe!) and I also never thought I would be one of those girls who gets tricked by her boyfriend into thinking that the ring isn't ready… But, I totally was.

We started our trip in Paris and I set myself up to be completely convinced by David that it wasn't going to happen while we were in Europe.

That night, I called my mom and texted my best friends, “Don't get your hopes up, it's not happening on this trip.” I was totally bummed, but let it go…

A week later, after exploring Paris and London, we met up with my Mom and sister in Germany to travel through the Bavarian countryside exploring different castles.

On one of the last days of our trip, we visited the unbelievably gorgeous Neuschwanstein Castle (the castle that inspired Disney's Sleeping Beauty castle), which could not be located in a more beautiful setting.

The castle is nestled high up in the hills, which you reach by taking a horse-driven carriage. On one side, there are snow-covered mountains, on the other, there is an amazing view of the entire valley, green hills and beautiful pastures. It's stunning.

There is a bridge over a waterfall behind the castle that connects two cliffs and looks out over the amazing view. After we toured the castle, my mom, my sister, David and I hiked up to this bridge.

We walked down a path behind the bridge with full view of a river, the bridge, the cliff, and the beautiful castle. It was so serene and beautiful.

David came over to me and gave me a hug (which was normal), but what was not normal was how incredibly fast his heart was beating!

Before I could even wrap my head around what was happening, to my complete surprise, David got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

I have never experienced more pure joy than in that moment. I said yes and jumped into his arms, he picked me up and twirled me around, then my mom and sister ran over.

I'm extremely close to my mom and sister, which is why it meant the world to have them there to celebrate with us.

It was one of the happiest days of my life, and it couldn't have been more perfect thanks to David.

What a beautiful couple, and what a romantic proposal story (props to David for keeping it a surprise!) McKelle even told us she'd bought that gorgeous orange Anthropologie dress a few years ago, and was saving it for her engagement – how sweet?

Thanks so much for sharing it with us, and here's to your happily ever after.
