Today we have a real treat for poets, dreamers, and story book lovers.

We're going to follow the yellow brick road, and find ourselves in a magical meadow filled, with not just smoke and mirrors, but glitter and flowers too.

This quirky styled shoot is the work of Kerry Ann Duffy Photography and Claire from The House Meadow, who took their inspiration from fantasy adventure film, Oz The Great and Powerful.

Blasts of colour fit beautifully with streams of ethereal hues, for an overall look that not only glistens, but packs a punch as well.

Kerry Ann said the shoot was a long time in the planning, but a dream to create.

The grounds of The House Meadow are huge and so diverse that we felt we would be able to tell the story through all of the different scenes that we could create.

We spent so much time brainstorming, creating story boards and then collecting items for the shoot because we wanted to create something magical and inspiring.

Everyone who collaborated on this was just as passionate about it as we were and while it was very hard work, it was also lots of fun. We are so pleased with what we achieved as it is exactly what we had envisaged.”

So whether you're planning your own whimsical wedding or simply an enthusiast of bright flowers, beautiful decoration, and gorgeous dresses (and who isn't?) click your heels together three times, and feast your eyes on this magical masterpiece…

Anyone else feel like they've been transported to a far off land?

And it's not over yet, check out this fab film by Ignite Films, who captured all the behind-the-scenes action throughout the shoot, as well as some rather vivid after-dark shots too.

ARVE Error: need id and provider

I love the idea of a yellow brick road wedding aisle, and the colours of the flowers, stationery and table styling, are just gorgeous.

And finally how stunning is that Sarah Seven dress from FrouFrou Bridal Boutique?  It's similar one of our real bride Gemma's contenders for “The One”.

Thanks so much to Kerry Ann Duffy Photography, and the rest of her team for sharing this marvellous shoot with us – so much inspiration in there for unique wedding ideas.
