Giulia and Luca's Italian wedding in Tuscany is just glorious.

Captured in fabulous style by Stefano Santucci, this is the kind of wedding we wish we could show you hundreds photos of, simply to share pictures of the rolling Tuscan countryside, and this couple's joyous friends and family.

Alas, shots of a stunning dress, beautiful flowers, a breathtaking location, and a beautiful loved-up couple will simply just have to do…

The Attire

The bride had a dress with embroidered lace and floral decorations. The groom had a traditional blue suit with gray vest.

We asked guests to wear something green that recalls the theme of the wedding.

The Music

During the ceremony in the church there was a violinist and a cellist who played classical pieces.

During the cocktail hour a DJ played lounge music. And for the party, the DJ played music from the seventies, eighties, nineties and contemporary music.

As the first dance we danced to a a song by “Face in the Crowd” by Lionel Richie.

The Ceremony

At the end of the ceremony the groom's mother read a prayer she had written for us.

The Photography

We chose Stefano because wanted to have a reportage of our day that would portray us in the most spontaneous way possible.

The Theme

The theme of the wedding was the green colours and the countryside.

For this reason, all the decorations had some green details and for the “tableau de mariage” (seating chart) we chose to use different aromatic herbs, with which we named the tables for the dinner.

The Flowers & Decorations

Wildflowers, old roses and peonies in the bouquet.

Centerpieces were made with the same flowers on a bed of rosemary.

The witnesses of the bride had a bracelet with a flower of the bride's bouquet and for the groomsmen, the buttonhole was made with the same flower (an old rose).

The owners of the castle decorated rooms inside and the garden with candles and lanterns.

Favourite Moments

The father of the bride’s speech during dinner, our first dance, and the throwing of the bouquet in the garden in front of the church, were all favourite moments.

And of course, all our friends who came from abroad to share this day with us.

The Refreshments

We organized an aperitif in the garden, followed by a dinner in the lounge of the castle. The cake was cut in the outer courtyard.

Advice for Other Couples

The choice of location was crucial for us for the success of the event. We decided to invest the most on flower decorations to create the atmosphere we wanted for our day.

The music is also very important to involve the guests, it is important to choose different types of music that can appeal to people of different ages.

The choice of the photographer is essential, since it will be crucial for the memories you will have of your wedding.

We chose to have  a reportage of our day that would allow us to have photos of all the guests in natural poses.

We also had photo booth in the corner, with accessories for them to dress up in – this was originally the idea of our photographer, but it was very much appreciated by the guests.

So chic! I love the simple table decor and the use of herbs. And how pretty is Giulia's hair? I bet a bunch of you beauties pinned that one!

Thanks so much to Stefano Santucci and of course, Luca and Guilia, for letting us in on this romantic Italian wedding.
