Move aside LBD, there's a new kid in town. The LWD (aka the little white dress).
Oh how we love a little white dress around these parts, especially as we move into bare legs and sandals weather. Hello SS15!
Whether it's a feminine off-the-shoulder number, a chic lace shift or a sexy body-con dress with sheer cut outs, we just can't get enough of them.
What started as a Top 10 LWDs quickly escalated into a Top 20 then, after hours spent perusing ShopBop (and getting well and truly sidetracked by their designer wedding dress selection – Marchesa, Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier anyone?) we finally managed to narrow it down to a Top 30!
The Love and Lemons San Marco dress below is one of our absolute faves, though it's not for the faint of heart (or spotty of back).
LWD = The Perfect Bachelorette Party Dress
LWDs are perfect for bridal showers, hen dos, bachelorette parties and rehearsal dinners due to their ever so subtle (ok their screaming great BIG) nod to the fact that you are the bride to be and therefore should get special treatment. Hurrah!
They're flattering to all skin tones, make your teeth look whiter, your eyes brighter and your non-existant/fake tan, tannier. Oh and unlike your wedding dress, your trusty LWD can be whipped out for special occasions long after the big day.
What's not to love?
Well, actually, there is one downside…
Wearing a LWD means you have to steer clear of red wine and (gulp) chocolate. It's a sacrifice that we don't take lightly here at BM but one that we think you'll agree is worth it when you see the beauties below.
