Today's beautiful bohemian wedding shoot is loaded with inspiration for brides, whether they're seeking ideas for their engagement shoot, their boudoir session, or their big day.
Inspired by the world travels of a gypsy bride, this shoot was fittingly captured by Alice Rose Photo, a destination photographer, who travels far and wide for her work.
Cool boho style (think Coachella bridal!) leads the way, with a headscarf style veil, crochet and beaded attire, barefoot bridal accessories and an effortless – but no less statement – sunflower bouquet.
The decor comes together like the haul of a great explorer with Arabic lanterns, African baskets and an Indian globe, among the loot.

With this inspirational wedding shoot we strived to give the feeling of travel. What could be more fun than a gypsy bride?
By combining eclectic details we wanted to give the feeling of choosing favorite items from different locations around the world. Imagine traveling internationally your whole life and waiting to unpack your suit case until your wedding day and using all of your souvenirs to decorate with.
It was important for us to add the element of travel with the suitcases and map details. Present at the bride and groom table are hand woven baskets from Africa, a wooden globe hand made in India, as well as candle sticks that influenced by different styles and cultures.
By not constricting ourselves to a few particular colors, we were able to bring in a lot of fun eye popping color to contract the beautiful drapery.
Our draping is meant to give the feeling of being in a gypsy camp. We put a lot of thought into how historic gypsy travelers might actually celebrate a wedding and this is how our vision came together.
For our bride’s personal style we incorporated a lot of bohemian touches. By keeping things flowing and natural you can actually picture this woman anywhere in the world.
Her bouquet was kept simple almost as though she hand plucked it herself. The head piece also have the lovely hand made feeling that we were going for with her entire look.
We believe that boudoir and bridal go hand in hand and we wanted to demonstrate that with this shoot.
It has become more popular for brides to give boudoir photos of themselves to their groom on their wedding day and we didn’t want to miss out on some bohemian boudoir.
Boudoir that accompanies wedding photos adds a level of romance that we just swoon over.
Not only did we want to incorporate boudoir, we wanted to give brides stylish ideas of what they can wear for their engagement photos.
Engagement photos can be considered a “sneak peek” of what is to come for the actual wedding day so the style of these photos is very important.
Our gypsy-inspired bridal shoot with hints of bohemian accents was so much fun to create and we hope we left you with the desire to travel as well as an image of our bride in her caravan on a journey to somewhere new as a newlywed.
So many cool ideas, we have a serious soft spot for bohemian style! I love the idea of creating spaces within a wedding with draping, and using decor from your home is such a nice way of not just saving on your budget, but adding a real sense of your personal style too.
