This week has been a pretty fun one in Bridal Musings HQ, as we lucky things get to run down our very favourite collections from Bridal Fashion Week.
Leading the way with the re-emergence of ballgown style wedding dresses, this collection is classic, feminine and beautiful, without being boring.
High-low skirts, thigh high splits, textured layering, and feather, ruffle, and sparkling embellishments, add a chic, modern twist on timeless silhouettes.
Before you scroll down to swoon over these fabulous gowns, read a little more about it from the team at Monique Lhuillier…
About the Collection
The Fall 2016 Bridal Collection is an elaborate fantasy inspired by a romantic and opulent garden. Ultra-feminine gowns with beading and layers upon layers of tulle create an ethereal dream.
Voluminous silhouettes are modernized by strapless separates and sensual off the shoulder styles. Intricate details and embellishment featured on sheer sleeves, plunging necklines and scooped low backs for a romantic allure. Gowns with detachable skirts take an enchanted bride from day to night.
A romantic color palette of blush, sage, ivory, pale grey and latte completes the collection, which features satin organza, Chantilly lace, fluid silk and embroidered lace.
These are what I call, ‘proper wedding dresses’ – you just know you’ll feel like a bride the minute you step into it.
Monique Lhuillier wedding dresses are priced from $5000-20,000 (£3300-13,200) – her Bliss Collection, starts from $2800 (£1850). To find out more on stockists and events, visit the Monique Lhuillier website.
We’ll be back tomorrow with another stunning new collection, but until then, check out our favourites so far!
