Cool Italian Wedding (With Florals, Cigars and a Motorbike)

Think of an Italian wedding and you think of beautiful scenery, luxe foliage, great food and lots of romance.

And today's gorgeous couple, Daniela & Giacomo, had all of the above for their wedding in Marche, in Eastern Italy. But they also had a whisky and cigar bar, comfy shoes, three dogs, and a motorcycle.

This couple are all kinds of cool, and their wedding was a joyful, laid-back and loved-up celebration – photographed entirely candidly by Federica Cavicchi Photography.

From her unique wedding dress to her beaming smile, Daniela was every inch the blushing bride, (we're just in love with her bouquet!). Giacomo looked super cool with his collarless shirt and white trainers.

Their intimate church ceremony was followed by a ride on Giacomo's motorcycle to a relaxed outdoor reception with (delicious-looking!) vegetarian food.

With foodie favours and elegant escort cards, this wedding has some gorgeous ideas to steal, but it's also a lesson in making a day your own – and enjoying every single second of it.

Our Love Story

We met a work…an unforgettable day…it seems like yesterday.

The proposal? Giacomo chose a magical place during a vacation in Matera. We were in a little thirteenth-century church.

There was the fireplace, a thousand candles, good wine… only us and our puppies. During the dinner, he kneeled and I was excited as never in my life.

The Inspiration

Marche's hills – Wild and aromatic crops – Green and fuchsia colour, warm, cosy colours.

The Ceremony

We got married in the church from my childhood. The priest was amazing, we laughed all the time, especially me.

Also our dogs were at at the ceremony, for us their presence was very important. It was fantastic to have them with us during the best day of our life.

Federica Cavicchi…I followed her for a long time on Facebook, the naturalness and the beauty of her photos caught me, the simplicity with which she tells stories.

I was afraid I'd be embarrassed in front of the camera, but she made everything so spontaneous.

Favourite Moments

We chose to invite only the people who were part of our love story.

The best special moment was at church: we never stopped laughing, kept our hands held like we were an unique body, our eyes speak for themselves in the pictures.

Travelling on the motorcycle was also unique.
