Happy Monday everybody!

Yes, it's official, Mondays can be happy days too ~ I hope you have a fantastic start to the week!

To help you on your way, I've got a chic black and white, winter wedding featuring a beautiful, blue eyed, fashionista bride in a short tulle 50s style wedding dress, Jimmy Choos & black nail polish. And I have to say, I've never seen a more excited, happy bride!

Gray asked Kate to marry him while they were at Kate's favourite restaurant on 23rd December 2008.  He wanted to propose before Christmas Eve as he knew it was Kate's favourite day of the year ~ so it was her early Christmas present! Almost two years later, on December 17th 2010, they were married in a beautiful barn, surrounded by snow. They had a chic and classy black and White colour scheme and dress code for their guests.

Kate's Bridal Style

I work in fashion and always knew I wanted something a bit different – I always wanted to find a short dress so that I could get an amazing pair of shoes and they would be seen. I searched the internet and found Dolly Couture who specialize in short vintage style dresses – The Milan style I went for jumped out on the screen and it was love at first sight. I just knew it was the one from very early on and was really lucky to be able to buy it when I was on a work trip to LA.

I wore Jimmy Choo Sparkling Heels and a vintage style fascinator with a short net veil from Dolly Couture and went for natural makeup with a smoky eye  and loose curls in my hair.

The Flowers

I went for retro cream carnations tied with black chiffon carrying on the black and white theme – I added crystal studded cream roses to the centre of my bouquet.

The Groom, Groomsmen & Bridesmaids

Gray wore a single breasted DKNY black wool loungesuit with a Thomas Pink White shirt and the patent black shoes were Kurt Geiger. Both of my bridesmaids wore dresses made by a good friend’s sister Nikki Huston and the Groomsmen were all in Black Lounge suits.

How lovely and emotive are those ceremony shots?!

More to come in Part 2, where we'll see just how this stylish couple continued their chic black and white theme throughout the reception details and their adorable cake!

Many thanks to  Stephanie Oakes for sharing these gorgeous images today.
